Job Overview:
Dedicated Resource in the factory for NPD, VAVE and Sustaining Engineering Efforts
Serves as the key point of contact between the site and New Product Development
(NPD), Manufacturing, and Quality teams. Coordinates cross-functional communication,
task alignment, and resource management to support the successful launch of new
products and sustaining initiatives. Ensures plant readiness by facilitating the NPD
process, while minimizing disruptions to ongoing production. Provides support for
SREAs and product builds to ensure quality standards throughout the NPD process.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with NPD teams to understand product requirements, timelines, and
key deliverables.
• Facilitate manufacturing and maintenance resource needs for product
introduction and ensure alignment. (new equipment, new process set up, line
readiness)
• Facilitate and Coordinate SREAs- Program management, engineering
qualification execution and POL ownership
• Provide support during builds ensuring all stages meet operational standards,
safety protocols, build readiness and quality expectations.
• Track progress, communicate milestones, and report readiness across the
functional teams. Attend XF meetings to provide updates and drive build
readiness coordination meetings.
• Part planning and availability for sample builds- Track and communicate to team
members. Ensure timely Incoming Inspections and material dispositions.
• Coordinate NPD costing and initial BOM set up in spreadsheet templates.
• Work closely with the materials procurement team in Acuna for materials
preparation for project work.
• Represent Acuna for product and technology roadmap building and execution.
• Represent Acuna at the early stages of NPD projects for NJPS (schedule) and
DFM (Design for Manufacturing) input.
• Work closely with ERA team on projects at factory
• Coordinating with the factory quality to ensure timely completion of ECNs and
completion of PPAP
• Facilitate timely shipping of build lot finished goods and sample components
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, industrial, mechanic or related field
- 10+ years of experience in Project Management and New Product Development
- Blueprint Reading: The ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications is crucial for understanding project requirements.
- Experience in metal-mechanic industry as plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint) and project management tools such as Microsoft Project (or other)
- Possesses influencing skills (leads by example, clearly articulates business cases and interpretation of cause-effect impact).
- Highly effective organization and planning skills required.
- Ability to effectively communicate up, down and across the organization.
- Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills are required.
- English fluency level
- 30% Travel Required – US and International (US, Mexico, LATAM, Asia)
