Newell Brands is a leading consumer products company with a portfolio of iconic brands like Graco®, Coleman®, Oster®, Rubbermaid®, Sharpie® and Yankee Candle® - and 24,000 talented teammates around the world. Our culture is built on values in action: Integrity, Teamwork, Passion for Winning, Ownership, and Leadership. We work together to win, grow, and make a real impact—supported by a high-performing, inclusive, and collaborative environment where you can be your best, every day.

The Associate Manager, BI Analytics will play an integral role in helping the company achieve its ambition by ensuring that Newell Brands is leveraging analytics and applied AI to drive Supply Chain improvements. Reporting to the Manager, BI Analytics within the Newell Global Supply Chain team, the role will be highly visible with impact across all Newell Divisions globally. This role bridges traditional business intelligence with emerging AI engineering capabilities, building production-grade AI systems that translate supply chain business problems into scalable, governed solutions.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage complex analytics and AI projects end-to-end, navigating ambiguity and delivering measurable business outcomes.
  • Define data requirements and design ETL/ELT workflows to consolidate multiple ERP sources into a unified Supply Chain data repository, partnering with IT on extraction, cleansing, and pipeline implementation.
  • Build and maintain enterprise big data infrastructure using Apache Spark to extract, transform, load, and model large volumes of raw supply chain data across source systems, data lakes, and serving layers.
  • Design and deploy diagnostic tools and BI solutions that enable business users to identify supply chain performance gaps and drive action planning.
  • Design, build, and deploy production AI systems including RAG architectures, agentic workflows, and API-based AI services; implement prompt versioning, model evaluations, and guardrails (security, PII, hallucination prevention) to ensure responsible, governed deployments.
  • Integrate AI and analytics solutions with enterprise platforms including Databricks (Unity Catalog, AI/BI Genie, AgentBricks, MLflow), Azure, and MuleSoft; build CI/CD pipelines that ensure code is testable, maintainable, and version-controlled.
  • Partner with Global Supply Chain team members to define requirements, reporting specifications, and data strategies; translate business problems into BI and AI roadmaps and communicate architecture trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Vibe coding proficiency – demonstrated use of AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code) to rapidly prototype, iterate, and deliver working solutions, accelerating the cycle from idea to production.

The Candidate

The successful candidate will be an accomplished professional applying data analytics and business intelligence techniques within a business environment.  Candidate must also demonstrate the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to business partners in Supply Chain and Finance communities.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Engineering or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in a related analytical field, or demonstrated ability to quickly learn and apply complex technical skills.  Supply chain analytics experience is preferred.
  • Strong SQL skills with demonstrated experience querying large data sets, including query optimization and performance tuning
  • Demonstrated experience deploying BI tools at scale using platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, Sigma or Qlik
  • Proficiency in Python; experience developing production-grade, modular packages strongly preferred; working knowledge of R a plus
  • Solid understanding of AI engineering concepts including LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG systems, agentic workflows, model evaluations, and vector databases, with practical experience applying them to business problems

  • Demonstrated use of AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, ChatGPT) to accelerate prototyping, reduce friction, and ship higher-quality code faster

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure preferred) and DevOps practices including Git, CI/CD pipelines, and unit testing; experience with Databricks (Unity Catalog, MLflow, AI/BI Genie, or AgentBricks) a plus

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate complex AI and data architecture concepts for non-technical stakeholders

  • Collaborative and interpersonally effective across all levels of the organization; able to manage multiple priorities with autonomy, follow-through, and sound judgment
