Position Overview
The Associate Manager, Global Automation Operations supports the execution, sustainment, and continuous improvement of enterprise automation and operational programs across the distribution network. This role focuses on execution support, data enablement, documentation, and operational readiness, working within established program frameworks, governance routines, and standards defined at the Manager and Senior Manager level.
The Associate Manager partners closely with site operations, automation engineering, IT, and central supply chain teams to ensure automation initiatives are operationally executable, properly documented, and supported by reliable data and reporting. This role translates defined strategies and program structures into day‑to‑day execution support, insight generation, and site enablement.
This position does not own enterprise programs or governance models, but plays a critical role in enabling consistent execution, visibility, and adoption across sites.
Position Detail – Responsibilities
Automation Operations Execution & Site Enablement
- Support automation deployments, go‑lives, and stabilization periods by ensuring operational readiness, training alignment, and documentation completeness.
- Partner with site teams to support day‑to‑day operation, troubleshooting, and sustainment of automated systems following deployment.
- Create and deploy Slotting, Labor Management and BI related tools to local sites
- Assist in coordinating hyper‑care activities and post‑deployment handoffs within defined program frameworks.
Data, Reporting & Performance Support
- Develop, maintain, and enhance automation‑related dashboards, reports, and scorecards to support visibility into productivity, uptime, fault trends, and operational performance.
- Support data validation, cleansing, and standardization efforts to improve trust and usability of automation and labor data.
- Prepare operational summaries and inputs for leadership reporting, milestones tracking, and performance reviews.
Process Documentation & Standardization
- Create, update, and maintain automation‑related process documentation, workflows, SOPs, and training materials in alignment with established standards.
- Ensure documentation reflects deployed system behavior and operational realities through coordination with engineering, IT, and site teams.
- Support standardization efforts by identifying documentation gaps and inconsistencies across sites.
Digital & AI Enablement Support
- Support the development and deployment of digital and AI‑enabled tools related to automation operations, training, and reporting.
- Assist in defining operational data requirements and ensuring tools remain relevant to site‑level needs.
- Support testing, feedback collection, and refinement of digital solutions.
Cross‑Functional Coordination
- Serve as a key point of contact for automation operations support across assigned sites or regions.
- Coordinate with Operations, IT, Engineering, OPEX, and vendors to resolve execution‑level issues and readiness gaps.
- Participate in site visits to observe automation performance, validate process adherence, and identify improvement opportunities.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify recurring issues, trends, and execution challenges impacting automation performance.
- Support productivity and efficiency initiatives through analysis, documentation updates, and operational insights.
- Recommend incremental process, data, or training improvements within existing program structures.
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or equivalent experience.
- 2–4 years of experience in supply chain operations, automated distribution environments, or centralized operations roles.
- Working knowledge of automation systems, operational processes, and performance data.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into operational insights.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to support leadership reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and standard business analytics tools.
- Ability to travel up to ~75% domestically and internationally, as required.
The Remote base pay range for this position is from $95,000 - $105,000. Salary will be based on prior experience related to the skills required for this position.
