Job Overview:
The Digital Asset Coordinator will play a critical role in driving consistency with asset tagging and uploading that will drive efficiency in our current processes. This role will be responsible for coordinating, storing, cataloging, and distributing digital assets within Newell Brands. The position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with several cross-functional team members.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the uploading and metadata tagging of all creative assets, following digital content playbooks and DAM protocols.
- Ensure assets meet data architecture standards, accessibility requirements (alt text, VTT), and usage rights compliance.
- Identify, tag, and categorize User-Generated Content (UGC) for marketing campaigns, ensuring proper rights usage and future discoverability.
- Conduct regular audits of the DAM library to maintain accuracy, consistency, and compliance with brand and governance standards.
- Proactively monitor and advise partners on upcoming asset usage expirations.
- Partner with the Data Governance team to ensure strict adherence to quality standards.
- Collaborate with internal teams, agencies, and AI tools to improve DAM workflows, keyword accuracy, rights management, and reporting.
- Document best practices, recommend improvements, and support the development of new data management infrastructure.
- Contribute to metadata standards, taxonomy alignment, and broader data harmonization initiatives.
- Partner with IT and DAM software providers to optimize system performance and maximize value.
- Work cross-functionally with Design, Digital Merchandising, DTC, IT, and Brand teams to resolve data management needs.
- Participate in enterprise-level data infrastructure and digital transformation projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Library Science, Information Science, Digital Media, or equivalent professional experience.
- 2+ years of experience in digital asset management, enterprise content management, or DAM system support for large organizations.
- Hands-on experience with DAM systems (e.g., Media Beacon, Adobe Experience Manager, Bynder, Widen, etc.).
- Strong understanding of metadata standards, taxonomy, and digital asset management best practices.
- Knowledge of copyright, licensing, and digital usage rights.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, with experience supporting cross-functional creative and marketing teams.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to balance tactical execution and big-picture process improvements.
- Familiarity with creative workflows (design, photography, video production) is a plus.
- Experience leveraging automation or AI for DAM workflows is a plus.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
- Experience working within cross-functional marketing and creative teams.
