Job Summary:

The Director of Supply Chain Engineering Innovation will lead efforts to advance our injection mold machine tooling technology, explore advanced manufacturing techniques, and optimize our existing mold design capabilities across all of Newell Brands. This global position will play a critical role in driving innovation and efficiency within our supply chain engineering processes. The Director will have direct reports and will collaborate closely with various departments to achieve strategic objectives.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the advancement of injection mold machine tooling technology to enhance production efficiency and quality.
  • Explore and implement advanced manufacturing techniques to drive innovation and competitiveness in areas such as metal, glass and ceramic injection molding.
  • Optimize existing mold design capabilities to improve performance and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, IT, and customer service, to ensure seamless integration of new technologies and processes.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve supply chain engineering innovation goals.
  • Manage and mentor a team of engineers and technical professionals.
  • Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Prepare and present technological assessments and presentations to senior management on project progress and outcomes.
  • Lead the global best practices network for mold machine improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in supply chain engineering, manufacturing, or a similar role with a focus on advanced mold designs.
  • Proven track record of leading engineering innovation projects and teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in advanced manufacturing technologies and techniques.
  • Experience with injection mold machine tooling and mold design optimization.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
