Job Summary

The evolution of the Newell Brands Supply Chain includes a focus on driving productivity through building capability in people, processes, and technology. PEAK (Planning, Engagement, Achievement, Knowledge), Newell’s branded improvement strategy, is fundamental to that goal. A Center of Excellence with a deep competency in implementing PEAK PACS (Processes, Applications, Capabilities, and Systems) in Supply-Chain and Transactional settings is a crucial element in our future success. PEAK and the EFO PACS are embedded with traditional TPM, LEAN, and 6 Sigma principles. The EFO engineer is responsible for driving the deployment and maintenance of the standards for the EFO PACS which is based on the TPM AM, PM, EM and FI pillars and principles. The EFO engineer will work with the corporate personnel, plant managers and maintenance managers, building skills and capabilities across teams. The EFO engineer will also monitor and report on the performance and progress of EFO activities, identify and share best practices, and provide coaching and training to regional teams and facilitate training sessions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist EFO EO Manager in development and implementation of the AM roadmap and action plan for North America, in alignment with the global EO framework and regional priorities.
  • Support the AM assessments at each plant and provide feedback and recommendations for improvement.
  • Facilitate the sharing of AM knowledge and best practices across the region and leverage the AM network and resources to solve problems and drive continuous improvement.
  • Provide coaching and training to AM teams and facilitators and ensure that they have the necessary skills and competencies to effectively execute AM procedures.
  • Track the AM key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics, and report on the results and achievements of AM initiatives.
  • Lead and participate in AM projects and events and support the implementation of AM tools and techniques.
  • Drive the culture change and employee engagement towards AM excellence and ownership.
  • Develop an understanding of the Newell Brands Operating System pillar linkages.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, or related field is preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience in TPM, lean manufacturing, continuous improvement or operational excellence roles, with a focus on AM (autonomous maintenance).
  • Certified AM Coach is preferred
  • Proven track record of leading and delivering successful AM results within site level teams and at enterprise program level. 
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the AM principles, standards, methodologies and eight pillars of TPM.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with various stakeholders and levels of the organization.
  • Highly analytical, data-driven, and problem-solving mindset, with the ability to identify and implement solutions.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to work with and connect with all levels of employees.
  • Strong planning & organizing skills. Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and assignments simultaneously.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% of the time within North America.

 

This position can be based anywhere within 2 hours of driving distance to a Newell facility.
