The Manager, Continuous Improvement will play a critical role in advancing Newell Brands’ PEAK (Planning, Engagement, Achievement, & Knowledge) operating system — a cornerstone of the company’s continuous improvement and productivity strategy. This role is responsible for leading and supporting initiatives that support the Results and Skills Leadership (RSL) as it pertains to Processes, Applications, Capabilities, and Systems (PACS) and drive operational excellence, capability development, and digital transformation across Newell’s Global Supply Chain network. This position will act as a bridge between strategy and execution, turning insight into action that strengthens the overall effectiveness of RSL deployment across the organization.

This role requires a proactive and technically adept professional who thrives in a collaborative environment, balancing hands-on tactical work with strategic planning. The Manager will partner cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Distribution, and Supply Chain teams to deliver measurable improvements in performance, cost, quality, and productivity.

   

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Coaching and Training: Deliver coaching, training, analysis, and project leadership for Results & Skills Leadership (RSL), including: KPI Alignment, Cascading Reviews, Master Planning, Visual Management of Information, Coaching, Change Management, Training & Skills Development, One Point Lessons & Owned Improvements, Cascading Communication, and Rewards & Recognition
  • Process and Capability Development: Create, standardize, and deploy RSL processes, tools, templates, and training materials across the network.
  • Criteria Assessment: Evaluate PEAK locations at various levels of maturity against RSL phase criteria while providing constructive feedback and facilitating understanding through intent-based activities.
  • Event and Workshop Facilitation: Organize and facilitate Central PEAK workshops, summits, and training events, ensuring alignment between network strategy and site-level execution.
  • Project Leadership and Management: Identify, charter, and lead improvement initiatives from concept to implementation, ensuring alignment with business objectives and PEAK methodology.
  • Best Practice Identification and Communication: Network with other global and organizational leaders to learn and share RSL PACS Best Practices.
  • Collaboration and Engagement: Work with cross-functional partners across Supply Chain, Operations, and IT to deploy innovative digital and process solutions that support AI adoption and PEAK integration.
  • Continuous Improvement Culture: Champion a culture of problem-solving, innovation, and continuous improvement throughout the organization, encouraging data-driven decision-making and operational excellence.

 

Key Qualifications:

The successful candidate must be technically competent within a supply chain vertical with a willingness to being hands-on and comfortable with tactical execution while working on projects of strategic importance.

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Business Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, or equivalent degree.
  • 5-10 years of experience in a manufacturing / warehouse role or in a Central Supply Chain type role with project experience.
  • Working experience with Continuous Improvement methodology (TPM, Lean, and Six Sigma preferred).
  • Strong project management and organizational abilities; capable of managing multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all organizational levels.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications.
  • Hands-on familiarity with AI tools, data analytics, and digital process optimization strongly preferred.
  • Change agent with the ability to build trust and interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Innovative, adaptable, and collaborative team player with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, global environment with competing priorities.
  • Ability to travel up to 75% to Supply Chain locations across the US and Internationally.
