The Manager, Shopper Marketing, plays an important role in translating brand strategies into impactful, retail-ready programs that drive conversion at the point of purchase. This role partners cross-functionally with Brand, Sales, and Marketing Development teams to deliver best-in-class shopper experiences across physical and digital environments. This individual will own execution for assigned retailers and the development of scalable shopper marketing capabilities while driving measurable business results, including sales lift, display productivity, and digital shelf performance. Display Management lead for assigned accounts, which include ad hoc displays and those associated with official shopper marketing program.
Responsibilities:
Strategy & Planning
- Translate Annual Brand Plans (ABP) and Annual Commercialization Plans (ACP) into customer-specific, insight-driven shopper marketing programs
- Support development of shopper marketing strategies for assigned retailers and channels, ensuring alignment with brand priorities and retailer objectives
- Build strong expertise in key accounts through close partnership with Sales and Market Development & Planning contacts (MD&P)
- Contribute to roadmap development and support efforts to scale shopper marketing capabilities across priority retailers
- Leverage emerging tools and technologies, including AI-enabled solutions, to enhance planning, content development, and execution effectiveness
Omnichannel Activation & Execution
- Lead execution of integrated shopper marketing campaigns across omnichannel environments (in-store, display, and eCommerce)
- Partner with cross-functional partners to consider all activation levers, including merchandising, promotions, digital content, and retail media
- Optimize retailer.com experiences through improved content, product detail pages, ratings/reviews, and digital shelf presence
- Ensure programs are executed on time, on budget, and aligned to defined success metrics
Retailer & Commercial Integration
- Partner with Sales, MD&P, and retail customers to develop and execute joint business plans
- Manage entire process of ad hoc display coordination from intake form to builds with outside agency
- Integrate shopper marketing strategies into key customer-facing moments, including Consumer Experience Center (CEC) events and other customer meetings
- Track and analyze performance against KPIs, including sales lift, conversion, and ROI
- Evaluate and advance sales-driven opportunities using established decision frameworks to ensure feasibility and impact
Operations & Capability Building
- Coordinate across Brand, Sales, MD&P, Supply Chain, Finance, and Design teams to deliver seamless execution
- Utilize current AI tools for high-fidelity inspirations and renderings; help build next iteration of AI tool to move towards best-in-class materials
- Support integration with core systems and processes (e.g., display development, Precision, Windchill)
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness across internal and external partners
- Contribute to development and maintenance of scalable playbooks, tools, and processes
- Partner closely with Design teams to deliver high-quality creative execution across shopper touchpoints
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree Marketing, Supply Chain and Operations Management
- 6+ years of experience in shopper marketing, brand management, trade marketing, customer marketing, marketing operations, sales, or related fields
- Proven ability to execute integrated marketing programs in a fast-paced, matrixed organization
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a bias for action and continuous improvement
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with the ability to influence without direct authority
- Analytical mindset with demonstrated ability to translate data into actionable insights
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
