Position Summary:
The Program Manager is a key member of the R&D organization, responsible for delivering world‑class consumer products that support both Marketing and Customer‑driven initiatives. The Program Manager’s main responsibility is to manage a global cross-functional team to develop, commercialize and launch product solutions that meet cost, schedule, and scope requirements. The PM I organizes projects, creates timelines, updates statuses, helps in planning and communications, and assists the teams in finding creative solutions when needed. This role will be responsible for managing the delivery of multiple programs of varying complexity.
Program Management and delivery of Derivative projects. This scope includes:
- Responsible for the end-to-end cross-functional oversight and delivery of new and existing items through a gated process. These projects may include graphic/language updates, case quantities, regulatory updates, seasonal promotional packs, VAVE and temporary displays.
- Independently leads projects of various complexity and works under supervision for programs targeted for new technology and markets by following the stage gate development process.
- Lead activities including VAVE workshop, idea generation, product benchmarking
- Leads Scope Planning Sessions to collaboratively develop standardized timelines for projects.
- Leads formal weekly team meetings & communication methods that drive project execution & completion.
- Guides cross-functional teams to work seamlessly across boundaries of company, culture, and geography for successful project execution.
- Responsible for delivering key PMO KPI’s of project timing, cost, quality, and budget. Ensures project outputs are consistently high-quality.
- Partners with Brand Marketing to define project scope & design.
- Monitors and reports status of project progress and risks to upper management. Communicates project expectations, plans and status to the project team members, upper management, and other stakeholders in a clear and concise fashion.
- Participates in post launch audit output evaluations to recommend advancements for continuous improvement of project execution practices.
- Identifies, negotiates, and supports the resolution to issues within cross-functional teams.
- Maintains documentation as required by the stage-gate development process.
- Role is based in Atlanta
- Travel up to 20%
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree is required
- Project management experience is required.
- 2-5 years CPG (consumer packaged goods) experience in Project Management, Supply Chain or Engineering function is highly desired
- Demonstrated familiarity with packaged goods manufacturing processes and supply planning
- Self-motivated, collaborative, organized, with a strong attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize and manage timelines
- Strategic thinking, self-starter with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to build strong business relationships across all functions of the organization
- Efficient & clear communication – verbally and written with all levels of a multi-tier organization
- The ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- This is NOT a technical project/program manager role
