Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Security Engineer to support the secure adoption of AI and ML technologies across the enterprise. This role focuses on shaping the design of AI-enabled systems, addressing security risks early in the development lifecycle, and contributing to secure-by-design solutions that ensure AI initiatives strengthen rather than expand the organization’s risk profile.

The Security Engineer will partner closely with data, platform, and engineering teams to participate in architecture discussions, influence design decisions, and embed security practices aligned with enterprise standards and evolving AI security frameworks.

In addition to AI-focused responsibilities, this role contributes to the broader evolution of the company’s security architecture across cloud and enterprise environments, promoting consistent design practices and reducing risk across domains.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in architecture and design discussions for AI-enabled systems, contributing to secure design decisions.
• Evaluate AI and ML solutions and influence design decisions to address security risks across data, model, and platform layers.
• Contribute to the secure design and deployment of AI initiatives by embedding security practices into engineering workflows.
• Partner with engineering, data, and platform teams to embed secure-by-design principles into technology solutions.
• Evaluate and influence architecture decisions across cloud and enterprise environments.
• Identify security gaps and work with engineering teams to drive remediation through design and implementation changes.
• Support the development and maintenance of security architecture standards, reference architectures, and design practices.
• Monitor emerging AI and cybersecurity trends and translate insights into actionable security recommendations.

Required Qualifications:

• 5 to 7 years of experience in security engineering, with hands-on experience in cloud and enterprise environments, including work with AI or ML technologies.
• Experience participating in architecture and design discussions, with the ability to contribute to secure design decisions.
• Strong understanding of security architecture concepts, including identifying risks early in the development lifecycle.
• Working knowledge of AI and ML security risks, including data integrity, model protection, and access control considerations.
• Experience securing cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure and familiarity with modern application architectures.
• Demonstrated understanding of secure-by-design principles and development practices such as DevSecOps and CI/CD.
• Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls, Zero Trust, and MITRE ATT&CK.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with engineering and technical teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Security or cloud certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, or AWS/Azure security certifications.
• Hands-on experience supporting or securing AI or ML initiatives in a real-world environment.
• Exposure to architecture or design responsibilities within engineering or security teams.
• Experience working in cross-functional environments involving data, platform, and engineering teams.
