We work together to win, grow, and make a real impact—supported by a high-performing, inclusive, and collaborative environment where you can be your best, every day.

Job Overview:

The Senior Ideation Facilitator is a hands-on leader who designs and runs high-impact working sessions that unlock growth across Newell’s brand portfolio. Your contributions will help maintain a strong innovation pipeline across multiple products and categories.

You will leverage Gen AI and state-of-the-art technology to orchestrate ideation workshops, and customer co-creation, accelerating design decision making and seeding strong concepts into the development pipeline. This role blends expert facilitation, AI native innovation, and business acumen to turn ambiguity into clarity and ideas into action

Responsibilities:

  • Plan & Facilitate: Architect end-to-end sessions that use Gen Ai to clarify objectives, complete pre-work, agendas, and method tailored to business needs (e.g., whitespace discovery, concept acceleration, value proposition design, portfolio architecture). Guide development of AI Innovation Agents to support flows for sessions (e.g., prompt generators, copy writers, constraints guides etc) to increase participation and speed to clarity.
  • Program Management: Run the pipeline of facilitation demand—intake, scoping, scheduling, logistics, stakeholder management, and post-session follow-through.
  • Outcomes & Decisioning: Drive teams to crisp decisions (problem statements, opportunity areas, concept shortlists, next-step charters, success metrics) and ensure clear ownership post-session.
  • Consumer Integration: Design and integrate research touchpoints (consumer insights, trend forecasts and co-creation) with consumers, customers, and channel partners; synthesize insights into actionable frameworks.
  • Methodology & Toolkits: Evolve Newell’s facilitation playbooks.  Stay on top of emergent ideation techniques and methodology. Build reusable templates in Miro/Mural/FigJam.
  • AI Native Methodology: Develop and integrate AI Agent teams into innovation sessions. Identify needs, track performance and evolve capability of Agentic partners.  Maximize their potential in Divergent and Convergent thinking to accelerate ideation and push outcome further downstream in the NPD process
  • Cross-Functional Partnering: Partner with Brand, Design, R&D, Consumer Insights, and Front End Innovation teams to align on opportunities and de-risk early.
  • Quality & Continuous Improvement: Establish and track session KPIs (time-to-decision, conversion to Charter, insights outcomes) and iterate the operating model.
  • Storytelling & Artifacts: Produce high-quality outputs such as Gen AI concept imagery and video, rapid prototypes, written concept statements and roadmap proposals that travel well across the enterprise.
  • Culture Carrier: Model Newell values; create psychologically safe, inclusive spaces where diverse perspectives produce better outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Innovation Strategy, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 7–10 years experience in innovation, design or adjacent roles with a heavy facilitation remit.
  • Demonstrated expertise planning and leading cross-functional workshops and design sprints
  • Strong command of human-centered design and problem-framing methods; able to select and sequence the right tools for the job.
  • Proven track record converting workshop outputs into funded projects or measurable business impact.
  • Exceptional verbal and visual storytelling; comfortable simplifying complexity and influencing senior stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with digital collaboration and creation tools (Miro/ Figma/Adobe CC etc).  Advocacy and expertise with Gen AI creative tools (Midjourney, Vizcom, Chat GPT etc). Strong documentation discipline.
  • Able to travel at least once per quarter
  • Experience in consumer products, CPG, or durable goods a plus.
  • Master’s degree (Design Strategy, MBA, Innovation) a plus
