Job Overview:
The Senior Manager, Studio leads end-to-end studio production across creative studio operations, photography, video, and post-production, serving as the single point of accountability for high-quality, on-brand content delivery. This role will at times will provide ideas, creative concepts and translate creative vision into executable production plans while overseeing teams, workflows, budgets, and partners to ensure efficient, scalable, and timely execution across brands and channels. Operating at the intersection of creative excellence and operational rigor, the Senior Manager drives consistency, quality, and continuous improvement through clear processes, modern tools, and strong cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities:
Studio, Production & Post-Production Leadership
- Own end-to-end studio delivery from pre-production through final asset release across photography, video, and post-production.
- Lead daily studio operations ensuring timelines, quality standards, and production targets are met.
- Allocate personnel, equipment, and software resources effectively to optimize workflow efficiency.
- Provide hands-on leadership across shoots and post-production to ensure consistency in execution and output.
People Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, coach, and develop studio, production, and post-production teams.
- Establish clear roles, expectations, and performance standards.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Support hiring, onboarding, and performance management.
Production Planning, Workflow & Operations
- Translate creative briefs into scoped production plans aligned to budget, timeline, and output expectations.
- Own studio workflows, capacity planning, and resource allocation.
- Ensure data accuracy and operational discipline within Workfront, FrameIO, DAM/AEM.
- Drive workflow optimization initiatives to improve speed and scalability.
Quality, Standards & Governance
- Establish and enforce studio and post-production quality standards.
- Lead quality reviews across photography, video, editing, and motion.
- Ensure strong versioning, metadata, and asset governance.
Budget, Vendor & Resource Management
- Own studio-level budgets including labor, freelancers, equipment, and vendors.
- Partner with Finance and Procurement on spend management and forecasting.
- Balance cost, speed, and creative quality.
Cross-Functional & Creative Partnership
- Act as primary studio partner to Creative, Brand, Marketing, DTC, and eCommerce teams.
- Ideate with team, design leaders, and creative teams to bring ideas to life.
- Ensure alignment between creative intent and production execution.
- Maintain / build strong cross-functional relationships.
Technology, Tools & Innovation
- Support and scale AI-enabled tools across studio and post-production workflows.
- Stay current on production technologies and recommend improvements.
- Champion continuous improvement in studio operations.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Photography, Videography, Visual Effects, Digital Filmmaking, Media Production, or related field
- 10+ years of experience in creative studio, production, or post-production leadership roles.
- Proven experience leading both studio production and post-production within a single operational model.
- Strong operational and project management skills; fluency with Workfront, FrameIO, DAM/AEM, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Deep understanding of photography, video production, editing, retouching, motion, and content finishing.
- Demonstrated ability to manage teams, budgets, timelines, and vendors.
- Experience integrating AI or automation into creative workflows preferred.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Highly organized, solution-oriented, and effective in fast-paced environments.
- Ability to travel for productions as needed.
