Role Overview

The Senior Manager, TPM & TPO (TPx) owns the Newell TPx System (Visual Fabriq/Newell Trade Navigator) and is the subject-matter expert for Trade Promotion Management (TPM) and Trade Promotion Optimization (TPO) within Newell. This role is responsible for the daily operation and continuous improvement of the TPX system, while enabling disciplined forecasting, planning, analytics, and go-to-market decision making.

Key Responsibilities

TPM System Ownership & Daily Operations

  • Own the day-to-day operation of the TPX / TPM platform, ensuring system stability and data integrity
  • Serve as the TPM expert and system authority defining standards, workflows, and best practices
  • Partner with IT and vendors on system enhancements and issue resolution
  • Ensure TPM is the single source of truth for promotional planning and execution

Forecasting & Planning Process

  • Own TPM inputs into forecasting and planning processes
  • Partner with Sales, Market Planning & Development and Finance on accruals and checkbook management
  • Enable disciplined planning cadences and ways of working

Analytics – Post Event

  • Establish the Newell approach to TPO
  • Lead & enable post-event promotion analysis including lift, ROI, and incrementality
  • Develop standardized post-event templates and scorecards
  • Enable translation of analytics into actionable recommendations

Analytics – GTM Opportunities

  • Identify go-to-market optimization opportunities using TPM and syndicated data, starting with enabling outlier identification (pricing, trade investments, promotion execution)
  • Support pricing, promo mix, and execution decisions by Segment Market Planning & Development Teams

Process Modernization & Capability Development

  • Identify opportunities to automate, simplify, and streamline trade-related processes.
  • Scale commercial discipline as the organization grows in complexity.
  • Act as a center-of-excellence leader for trade and commercial capability development.
  • Support long-range planning and evolving commercial strategy.

Roadmap Execution

  • Execute the TPM/TPO roadmap and prioritize initiatives based on business impact
  • Drive adoption of new capabilities and track delivered value

Qualifications & Experience

  • 7+ years of experience in TPM, TPO, RGM, or Commercial Planning
  • Experience owning or implementing TPM platforms such as Visual Fabriq, TPX, Anaplan, SAP TPM, or similar
  • Strong understanding of trade accruals, checkbook management and forecasting, and interpreting trade & promo data
  • Advanced Excel & Analytical skills; BI tools a plus
  • Strong cross-functional communication and leadership skills
  • Experience working with technical teams translating business requirements to technical requirements
