Newell Brands (NYSE: NWL) is a leading global consumer goods company with a strong portfolio of well-known brands. What unites all our businesses is a belief in brand-led growth, driven by an understanding of the constantly changing needs of our consumers and the ability to create products that win in the market by delivering superior performance, design and innovation.

The Senior Associate, AI Creative Operations supports the delivery of assigned AI pilots and creative technology implementations within Newell Brands’ Emerging Technology team. Working under the direction of the team leader or designated project lead, the role helps organize project activities, document workflows, and support users as approved AI capabilities are introduced.

The Central Design Emerging Tech team brings together AI developers, creative technologists, and AI creatives working on custom AI products, digital twins, visualization, and content workflows. This role supports those specialists and designated business users through practical coordination, documentation, and onboarding within established project plans and enterprise requirements.

Responsibilities:

Planning and Delivery

  • Maintain schedules, task trackers, milestones, and issue logs for assigned activities using established templates and plans. Follow up with task owners and flag delays or missing information to the project lead.
  • Arrange project working sessions, record decisions and action items, and coordinate agreed follow-ups with developers, creatives, and business partners.
  • Compile progress updates and supporting information for project reviews. Resolve routine coordination questions using established guidance and escalate issues affecting scope, resources, cost, or timing.

Pilot and Deployment Support

  • Help gather and document user requirements and current workflows for assigned use cases. Record scope and acceptance criteria agreed by the project lead and business stakeholders.
  • Support pilot logistics, testing schedules, participant communications, feedback collection, and deployment checklists for designated teams or user groups.
  • Track feedback, issues, and follow-up actions. Compile readiness documentation and completion summaries for review, and flag outstanding approvals or unresolved issues before deployment.

Creative Workflow Support

  • Document process steps and handoffs for assigned AI-enabled creative workflows, including digital twin visualization, asset production, and e-commerce content, using established templates.
  • Identify recurring workflow issues and suggest practical improvements to the project lead. Help implement approved changes and update the related documentation.
  • Maintain instructions, checklists, and handoff materials so users can follow approved workflows consistently.

User Enablement and Communication

  • Help adapt approved training content into user guides, onboarding materials, and demonstrations for assigned tools. Explain established capabilities, limitations, and approved uses clearly.
  • Coordinate training sessions and office hours, assist with demonstrations, and answer routine user questions using approved guidance. Refer technical or policy questions to the appropriate specialist.
  • Collect user feedback, participation data, and adoption questions. Share approved updates and lessons through existing team channels and track agreed follow-up actions.

Scope and Working Relationships

This is an individual contributor role. The role organizes assigned tasks within agreed priorities and methods, with regular guidance and review from the team leader or designated project lead. It contributes to project delivery and works with designated contacts across creative, technology, and business teams.

The team leader or designated project lead retains accountability for project plans, delivery outcomes, prioritization, resources, and deployment decisions. Enterprise functions retain policy, governance, risk acceptance, and technology approval authority. The Senior Associate provides information and recommendations and escalates decisions outside established guidance.

Measures of Success

  • Assigned tasks and follow-ups are completed accurately and on time, with delays and unresolved issues raised promptly.
  • Project records, readiness checklists, and user materials are current and complete for review; onboarding and training activities are supported as scheduled.
  • Usage, participation, user feedback, and workflow data are compiled accurately against agreed measures to support project evaluation and improvement.

Qualifications

  • Relevant experience in project coordination, creative operations, marketing operations, technology implementation support, or a related discipline.
  • Experience supporting cross-functional projects in a large organization, with the ability to work within established processes and approval requirements.
  • Familiarity with consumer products, consumer brands, retail, or e-commerce workflows.
  • Strong program management skills with experience establishing workstreams, operating cadences, milestones, decision rights, risk management, and executive reporting. Ability to document workflows, turn technical information into practical user instructions, and communicate clearly with project stakeholders.
  • Working knowledge of common project tracking and collaboration tools, with the ability to learn new AI-enabled tools and workflows.
  • Comfort operating in emerging areas where processes, requirements, and solutions may not yet be fully defined.
  • Preferred experience supporting AI or creative technology pilots, user testing, content workflows, or tool onboarding.
  • Preferred experience preparing training materials, assisting with workshops, or supporting AI literacy and user enablement.
  • Experience taking new capabilities, platforms, or operating models from pilot through broader organizational rollout.
  • Ability to document workflows, translate technical information into practical instructions, and communicate progress and decisions clearly to project stakeholders.
