About the role

We are looking for an experienced Die Setter to join our Production team at our Airport Oaks manufacturing facility. This is a hands-on technical role responsible for die changes, machine set-up, troubleshooting and supporting the safe and efficient operation of our plastic moulding manufacturing environment.

Reporting to the Production Shift Manager, with a dotted reporting line to the Technical Production Engineer, you will play a significant role in keeping production running safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Performing die changes on injection moulding and blow moulding machines
• Setting up, monitoring, and troubleshooting moulding processes
• Completing factory start-ups and shutdowns
• Performing colour and material changes to support production requirements
• Operating cranes and fork hoists to support die changes and operational requirements
• Cleaning and completing preventative and corrective maintenance on tools, machines, and equipment
• Setting up and monitoring automation and peripheral equipment including robots, conveyors, and material systems
• Identifying and escalating breakdowns, quality issues, and process deviations
• Providing timely technical support to the Production team
• Maintaining high housekeeping, safety, and quality standards
• Supporting continuous improvement across the manufacturing environment.

What we are looking for

• 3+ years' experience setting dies within plastic moulding manufacturing
• Hands-on experience within plastic moulding manufacturing and be confident working with large dies and machinery.
• Experience setting large dies and large machines
• A relevant plastics or mechanical engineering qualification or equivalent industry training

• Strong knowledge of manufacturing operations and production processes
• Experience using an overhead crane
• Knowledge of automated tooling
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to perform routine maintenance and confidently use hand tools, gauges, and indicators
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
• A reliable, safety-focused, and team-oriented approach
• Forklift and overhead crane operating capability.
