About the role:

 

We are recruiting for a Senior Payroll Administrator to join our New Zealand team, based in Mangere, Auckland. The role is responsible for managing and administering company’s payroll to ensure all employees are paid accurately and on-time and in accordance with employment agreements, NZ employment legislation and company policy. Skills & Experience

 

·         6+ years’ experience in a similar role, undertaking end-to-end payroll processing

·         Previous experience managing a payroll function and leading a payroll team

·         Substantial payroll experience in a medium to large organisation, preferably a shift work environment

·         Previous hands-on experience with computerised payroll systems (preferable Payglobal and Dayforce)

          and time and attendance systems

·         Experience leading the implementation of and transition to new payroll systems is essential

·         Demonstrate track record of high accuracy when preparing and entering payroll information

·         Experience with reporting and analysis of data

·         Proven experience identifying and implementing business improvements

·         Ability to foster strong relationships with customers.

 

Why will you be responsible for?

 

·         Responsible for end-to-end processing of payrolls, ensuring timely delivery and accuracy

·         Complete weekly payroll data entry from timesheets, always ensuring accuracy

·         Responsibility to enters leave forms via Employee Self Service systems

·         Ensure the correct coding of pay and allowance, deductions, and wage/salary costing

·         Processes special pays as required (e.g., termination pays, bonuses etc.)

·         Loads new employees and terminates exiting employees from the payroll as required

·         Accurately upload approved wages, salary, and other changes and calculate back payments accurately.

·         Prepare payroll reports and reconciliations for approval.
