Job Summary
The Customer Supply Chain Manager owns end-to-end supply chain execution and process for our Club accounts, across all business units serviced by Newell. This includes order management, fill rate performance, on-time compliance, inventory health, and the day-to-day operational partnership with the customer.
This role is accountable for ensuring supply chain systems, processes, and controls are meeting the needs of the business, and for driving improvement in supply chain efficiency, service, and cost. We are looking for an analytical, self-directed professional who can build scalable solutions across a multi-BU Club portfolio.
This position offers an opportunity to make a significant impact by helping build out a successful supply chain management strategy for this business. The Supply Chain Manager will work to continuously optimize our end-to-end supply chain by engaging with Costco/ BJ’s to improve operational metrics and driving process enhancements and automation with key internal teams.
A successful candidate possesses superb business judgment and supply chain experience, strong skills in partnering with cross-functional teams, the ability to navigate complex internal organizational structures, and a track record of delivering results. He or she will have strong analytical capabilities, including experience handling large and complex data analytics to drive recommendations.
The position requires an individual who can work both autonomously and collaboratively in a demanding and often ambiguous environment with strong attention to detail and effective prioritization.
SUPPLY CHAIN
- Own day-to-day order management, full-rate performance, and on-time compliance at the customer accounts.
- Manage excess and obsolete (E&O) exposure through proactive pre-vet, allocation, and rework decisions in partnership with Sales, Planning, and Brand teams.
- Drive inventory availability and inventory health decisions, balancing service to the customer with working capital across business units.
- Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Supply Planning, Brand teams, and DC operations to build best practices and process improvements that maximize throughput and revenue across a multi-BU portfolio.
- An active participant in driving transportation execution and carrier management during peak volume seasons with Newell and customer counterparts.
- Improve and adapt supply chain processes in adherence to the customer’s supply chain policies, communicating customer program changes to stakeholders to mitigate vendor program fines.
- Support corporate supply chain projects and initiatives for cost reduction across Newell as well as the customer’s supply chain operations.
- Support QBR preparation and delivery, including scorecard analysis, business review content, and customer-facing recommendations.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
- Assist with cross-functional projects to support new strategic initiatives and business opportunities for the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects - prioritization, planning and task delegation.
CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIP DEVELOPMENT
- Identify, define, and execute operational changes partnership with customer team to drive mutually beneficial supply chain improvements.
- Establish and maintain strong customer relationships with Planning & Allocation, Replenishment, and DC operations teams.
- Ability to effectively escalate critical matters to keep Newell prioritization at Costco/BJ’s.
- Interface between the Newell supply chain teams and Costco/BJ’s.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field
- 5+ years of supply chain, customer-facing operations, or planning experience
- Track record of using AI tools (e.g., Claude, Copilot, ChatGPT) to accelerate personal and team output; comfortable building reusable prompts, skills, or workflows
- Proven ability to identify manual or repetitive work and design scaled, automated, or repeatable solutions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with large, imperfect data sets to drive decisions
- Fluency with BI and analytics tools; advanced Excel required
- Excellent written and verbal communication, including comfort presenting to senior leaders and external customers
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a complex, cross-functional environment with a strong bias to action
- Curiosity and willingness to test new tools, iterate quickly, and share learnings across the team
- Preferred:
- Mass or club channel supply chain experience
- Experience across multiple business units or product categories simultaneously
- SAP experience
