The Key account executive has the responsibility for delivering the annual sales targets and market growth objectives for our Accounts in the Region by creating and maintaining strong partnerships with stakeholders for our key customer to drive the sell-in and sell-out of our product range.
Analyzes customer and end user requirements in order to drive competitive activities to develop sales plans aimed toward achieving individual market and total sales goals. Develops relationships with key end users customers and distributors. Maintains contact providing technical product application assistance as required. Needs to develop strong OMNI-channel plans to support brand visibility and demand generation. The Account Manager will take full responsibility for managing account challenges in order to achieve the assigned sales and profitability targets for a selective number of customers across Colombia
Key task summary
- Coordinate the development, implementation and management of a base of new and existing groups and distribution partners. Ensure strong growth, achieving and exceeding the budget.
- Responsible for negotiating with distributors, developing account plans for each account and implementing them.
- Maintain a strong relationship with the distributors at both operational level as well as senior levels to ensure highest customer satisfaction and exposure
- Develop partnerships by contributing to forecasting, development of accounts & promotional plans
- Drive product compliance when necessary within the accounts
- Implement and support national sales team with initiated key accounts programs
- Communicate effectively within the business to all departments
- Conduct competitors benchmarking and make proposals/actions on CP business improvements at distribution level, including new segments, price trends analysis and pricing strategy proposals.
- Understand digital activation as well as e-commerce requirements
- Provide regular reporting vs. plan to direct manager
- Identify new business opportunities in relationship with the group strategy
Qualifications and experience
• University Degree, Business School or equivalent work experience in best practices, progressive work environment
• Minimum of 4-5 years sales experience with regional and National Distribution customer as well as experience with B2B commercial distribution desirable
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate and build and maintain relationships internally and externally at all levels
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail; understanding and implementation of key performance indicators are critical
• Strong communication, and negotiation skills
• Highly collaborative and team based, comfortable with working relationships across long distances
• Results-oriented, and able to prioritize workload
• Knowledge in related markets is a plus
• Self-motivated and flexible
• Availability to travel up to 60% of the time
• English preferred
• Strong MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills
