GENERAL OVERVIEW:

  1. Ensure monthly closing of books accurately and on time
  2. Prepare GL reconciliation in time
  3. Maintain Fixed Assets in SAP correctly and on time
  4. Ensure timely Inter Company reconciliations
  5. Support information for monthly submissions of cashflow
  6. Ensure filing of statutory (Audit / other compliance) returns in time
  7. Support completion of Statutory, Internal, ad hoc audits in time
  8. Prepare and submit month end reporting for relevant company codes within APAC (wherever required)
  9. To co-ordinate and facilitate annual financial statement audits with external and internal audit firms
  10. Perform internal SOX self-testing when required
  11. Implementation of Global standardization, simplification, automation initiatives to increase efficiency and effectiveness

PRIMARY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

Tasks & Responsibilities

25% - Statutory, Internal, Audits and lodgments

  • To Support Completion of statutory audit in time
  • To Support completion of internal audit and SOX testing on time
  • To support Tax teams with any accounting records/transactions required

25% - Balance Sheet Reconciliation and Analytics

  • To prepare and certificate Balance Sheet Accounts reconciliation via Blackline monthly by due dates with proper and adequate supporting
  • To interact with cross-functional teams to get timely information
  • To support on Month end reporting preparation and reviews (wherever requested by corporate/APAC accounting)

30% - Closing of books

  • To calculate and book journal entries for month end closing via Blackline templates & ensure books are closed by WD4
  • To interact with Cross Departments in getting the information on time for month closing provision
  • To ensure intercompany balances and banks reconcile

10% - Maintain Fixed Assets

  • To support Capex accounting and ensure all assets are maintained correctly in accordance with US Group Policy
  • To ensure IGAAP vs UGAAP FA reconciliation at all times
  • To ensure physical verification of Fixed Assets as per Company Policy

10% - Internal Controls, Team Development

  • Maintain high standard of internal controls environment via SOX self-testing
  • Support and interactive other team members
  • Support implementation of new group templates & process improvements

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

EXPERIENCE

 

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS

Required:

  • Qualified or Semi-Qualified Chartered Accountant / Cost Accountant

Preferred:

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in relevant industry, preferably in a manufacturing environment

Required:

  • Proficiency with SAP specifically in GL & FA Modules, Advance skills in MS office- Excel and Power Point
  • Demonstrated experience managing month-end closing process and financial reporting
  • Specific work experience in handling audit of financial statements with strong technical accounting knowledge with GAAP/IFRS.
  • Strong focus on Internal Controls and Compliance
  • High level of resilience and ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills
