Production Planner
Location: Colombes, France
Reporting to: Supply Planning Lead (N+1) / Supply Planning Manager (N+2)

Position Overview
The Production Planner is responsible for managing production planning activities for MAPA SPONTEX factories. The role ensures the development and execution of robust Master Production Schedules (MPS) on a monthly and/or weekly basis, balancing customer demand with production capacity and operational constraints.
The position plays a key role in maintaining service levels across European distribution centers while optimizing inventory and supporting continuous supply chain improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Production Planning & Scheduling

Build, establish, and validate Master Production Schedules (MPS) for MAPA SPONTEX factories.

Ensure alignment between demand forecasts, production capacities, and operational constraints.

Anticipate capacity constraints and escalate risks through the SIOP (Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning) process.

Support investment requests when required to resolve capacity gaps.
Supply & Inventory Management

Manage the supply of finished goods to European Distribution Centers (UK, France, Spain, Italy, Germany, Czech Republic).

Ensure compliance with inventory targets and service level objectives.

Define and manage allocation rules between products and customers when necessary, in alignment with management priorities.

Maintain and update planning master data (minimum run quantities, MOQs, safety stocks, etc.).
Performance Monitoring & Governance

Define, implement, and monitor relevant KPIs.

Prepare and lead the monthly Manufacturing Review with factory management teams.

Formalize and continuously improve planning procedures.

Organize backup coverage for planning activities and provide backup support to other planners when required.
Projects & Continuous Improvement

Contribute to product lifecycle management projects (new product launches, product switches, phase-outs).

Participate in supply chain projects aimed at improving processes, tools, and overall performance.
Profile & Qualifications
Education
-
Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, or equivalent, with a specialization in Logistics or Supply Chain Management.
Experience
-
First professional experience in Supply Chain (supply planning, demand planning, inventory management, or related fields).
Technical Skills
-
Strong knowledge of SAP ECC and SAP APO (SNP/PPDS); experience with IBP is a plus.

Proficiency in Power BI.

Advanced Excel skills and strong command of Microsoft Office Suite.
Languages

Fluent in French and English (written and spoken).
