Your Role & Team in a Nutshell

As a Trademark Counsel, you will serve as the primary legal resource supporting the Company’s intellectual property operations in Dublin, Ireland, working closely with the US based IP legal team.

 

This is an excellent opportunity for a recently qualified legal professional or someone in the early stages of their Intellectual Property career to develop expertise within a global organization.

 

You will gain exposure to an international Intellectual Property portfolio, work with well-known consumer brands, and build experience in trademark governance, packaging review, licensing, brand protection, and emerging AI-generated content standards.

 

Your Key Responsibilities:

  1. IP Administration and Portfolio Governance
  • Manage the administration and maintenance of the global portfolio of trademarks and related IP rights owned by the Company,
  • Manage the trademark renewal process, including coordinating evidence of use across relevant jurisdictions, and preparing regular reporting to the Board on portfolio status, renewals, and filings,
  1. Licensing and Intercompany Agreements
  • Provide legal oversight of intercompany trademark licenses, sublicenses, and related royalty arrangements, ensuring alignment with the Company’s operating structure,
  • Draft and advise on third-party license agreements, including scope of rights, permitted uses, and amendments,
  1. Enforcement and Brand Protection
  • Execute the Company’s enforcement and protection of IP rights globally, including assisting with domain name disputes and actioning misuses of marks online,
  • Review and provide recommendations for actioning trademark infringement,
  1. Marketing Materials Review and Policy Compliance
  • Evaluate marketing and creative materials for compliance with Company policies and brand guidelines, including AI-generated content integrity standards, disclosure requirements, and applicable legal and regulatory obligations,
  1. Corporate Governance and Board Support
  • Support execution of IP-related transaction documents, deeds, and instruments approved by the Board,
  • Assist with Irish corporate formalities, powers of attorney, filings, and compliance activities relating to IP ownership and exploitation.

 

What You’ll Need

 

Minimum:

  • Qualified solicitor or barrister (Irish qualification or equivalent common-law jurisdiction) with a current practicing certificate or eligibility to obtain one,
  • Tax residency in Ireland,
  • Familiarity with trademark portfolio management and willingness to develop expertise across multiple jurisdictions,
  • Strong interest in Intellectual Property strategy and governance,
  • Ability to work independently while seeking guidance and collaborating effectively with colleagues.

Your advantage:

  • Relevant trademark prosecution, portfolio management, and Intellectual Property licensing experience,
  • Understanding of packaging law, advertising compliance, and brand guidelines in a consumer products context,
  • In-house legal experience,
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership, board members, and business clients.
