Primary Purpose of Position:

This position is responsible for coordinating and maintaining materials inventory control including, but not limited to, customer shipments, receiving, quality control, reconciling, cycle counting and supporting PkMS system.

 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for coordinating, reconciling, clearing, and physically counting within the cycle count process. 
  • Responsible for running daily replenishment requirements, creating transfer orders, and confirming transfer orders when replenishment is complete. 
  • Responsible for auditing and investigating receiving errors. Also responsible for communicating findings to the warehouse supervisor.
  • Responsible for auditing and investigating transport discrepancies quickly and efficiently. 
  • Responsible for supporting the PkMS receiving process in addition to SAP and providing any necessary reinforcement training.  This position will also provide back-up to any receiving function in SAP.
  • Responsible for data maintenance pertaining to PkMS. 
  • Responsible for investigating any other issues related to inventory and communicating issues to materials management. 
  • Responsible for PkMS daily reporting. 
  • Responsible for daily productivity metric reporting, inventory accuracy reporting, etc.
  • Performs such individual assignments as managemetn may direct. 
  • Observes plant safety rules and assists management in oversight of safety rules.

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Education

High School Diploma or GED

Experience/Knowledge

  • Comprehensive knowledge of administrative and management functions such as planning, organizing, coordinating, and controlling.
  • Previous experience with a SAP system.
  • Experience with collecting, analyzing and reporting of data.
  • Inventory discrepancy investigation and reconciliation experience.
  • One (1) to two (2) years of distribution experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills in order to work effectively with individuals both internal and external to Newell Brands.
  • The ability to utilize various personal computers, which includes, but not limited to, spreadsheets, excel, word processing, and database software.
  • Must be very flexible to ever-changing workloads and responsibilities.
  • Forklift experience required.

  • Must have good communication skills – both written and verbal.  
  • Must apply attention to detail in order to ensure work is accurate and the customer receives the highest quality of service possible.
  • Must be flexible and adaptable with the ability to change or adapt work practices based on changing work demands.
  • Must be able to work overtime before shift, after shift, and on weekends.

 

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

  • Standing and walking approximately 90 (ninety) percent of work time. 
  • Ability to work overtime or on weekends with short notice.
  • Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and walk over rough ground
  • Willingness to work all/any shifts.
  • Typical plant/manufacturing environment with concrete floors and moving equipment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
