Product & Brand Manager (Outdoor Apparel) – Marmot
Location: Frankfurt area (Hattersheim), Germany or Manchester area (Cheadle), UK
Reports to: Regional Marketing Director, Campingaz, Coleman & Marmot
Contract type: Permanent, Full-time, Hybrid
Your Role & Team in a Nutshell
As a Product & Brand Manager, you will shape and manage the outdoor apparel product portfolio for Marmot brand across the EMEA region. You’ll work closely with sales, marketing, and global product & merchandising team in the US to drive sustainable growth and brand visibility. You’ll be part of a dynamic regional team and collaborate with colleagues across Europe and the US.
We will help you achieve your goals and develop by providing regular feedback and access to online training courses.
Your Key Responsibilities:
Product Portfolio
- Identify growth opportunities in the EMEA outdoor apparel market and challenge the status quo.
- Generate consumer and customer insights to inform product development and merchandising strategies.
- Influence global product plans by articulating EMEA-specific needs and assessing global initiatives.
- Ensure sales growth and margin improvement targets are supported through new product development, innovation focus and portfolio mix
Product Launches
- Select winning product propositions from the global range and ensure SKU efficiency.
- Collaborate with Brand Activation to develop compelling, benefit-driven marketing campaigns.
- Develop selling decks and manage sample delivery for pre-order and sales meetings.
- Ensure accurate product data in collaboration with the material master data team.
Marmot Representation
- Deliver the annual regional Brand Playbook and represent Marmot within Newell’s corporate structure.
- Support sales teams and distributors with product messaging and strategic input.
What You’ll Need
Minimum:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field.
- Demonstrated experience in product or brand management, merchandising, or category management.
- Proven background in the outdoor or sports industry, especially technical outdoor apparel.
- Fluency in English
- Travel occasionally within Europe (5–10%) and to the US (1–2 times per year).
Your advantage:
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret financial and market data.
- MBA or equivalent qualification.
- Experience with international teams and cross-functional collaboration.
- Passion for outdoor products / performance gear and consumer-centric marketing.
- Fluency in German.
