Quality Assurance Leader

Location: Hillegom, The Netherlands
Contract type: Permanent
Reporting to: Senior QHSE Manager

 

Role Purpose

In close collaboration with the Senior QHSE Manager, Production, Supply Chain, and Regulatory teams, the Quality Assurance Leader is responsible for ensuring site-level quality compliance. The role focuses on maintaining certifications, leading audits, managing quality systems, and ensuring continuous compliance with GMP and ISO standards at the Hillegom site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate all internal and external audits for the Hillegom site

  • Drive audit follow-up actions and ensure timely closure of findings across departments

  • Interpret certification standards and provide guidance on required updates and improvements

  • Review, update, approve, and maintain quality procedures and policies in line with certification requirements

  • Manage the periodic (2-year) review cycle of quality documentation

  • Own and manage the Change Control process

  • Maintain ownership of the Master Batch Record database

  • Ensure GMP databases are up to date for all production lines

  • Define, monitor, and report monthly Quality Assurance KPIs

  • Provide quality updates and reporting to PLT and Management during monthly, quarterly, and annual reviews

  • Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Quality Assurance

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in an ISO and GMP environment

  • Strong knowledge of cGMP and ISO quality systems

  • Experience within a regulated industry

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook)

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Fluent Dutch required, good command of English

  • Ability to lead meetings with external stakeholders and represent the company

  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in cross-functional teams

  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and structured working approach
