Purpose of the role:

As Quality Manager, you will shape and lead the quality agenda for our Hillegom manufacturing site, helping ensure our products meet the highest internal, regulatory and customer standards while supporting a culture of excellence across the plant.
You will be responsible for implementing, maintaining and continuously improving the Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with OTC GMP, FDA, ISO, NSF, NVWA and other applicable local regulations. You will also play a critical role in strengthening site capabilities, embedding quality into daily operations and building trust with internal and external stakeholders.
Leading the full Quality organization, you will inspire, coach and develop your team while championing sustainable compliance, operational discipline and continuous improvement. This is a role for someone who enjoys combining strategic leadership with hands-on problem solving in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
As a member of the Hillegom Management Team, you will act as the trusted point of contact for all quality-related matters, partnering cross-functionally to drive performance, manage risk and help deliver products that light up everyday moments for consumers.

Quality Manager
What you will do:
Quality & Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with OTC GMP, FDA 21 CFR requirements, ISO standards and customer certifications
- Own, maintain and improve the Quality Management System (QMS)
- Ensure all product specifications, procedures and records are compliant and up to date
- Review and approve validation activities and line updates where required
- Ensure appropriate supplier qualification and raw material compliance
- Own and ensure effective execution of deviation investigations, CAPA management and root cause analysis processes
- Ensure data integrity principles are applied across all quality systems and laboratory activities, in line with FDA expectations
Audits & Inspections
- Lead and coordinate all internal and external audits (FDA, ISO, NSF, NVWA and customer audits)
- Act as primary site contact for regulatory authorities and inspectors
- Ensure timely and effective closure of audit findings and CAPAs
Batch Review & Product Release
- Ensure robust batch documentation review processes are in place
- Provide final quality oversight on batch disposition and escalation of quality risks
- Ensure appropriate oversight of QC laboratory activities
- Act as final decision authority on product quality disposition and escalation of quality risks
Leadership & Site Management
- Provide leadership and support to all members of the Quality team
- Train, coach and drive adherence to quality and GMP requirements across production and support functions
- Provide regular reporting on Quality KPIs and site performance to the Management Team
- Manage Quality budget requirements in alignment with the Site Manager
- Work closely with Production, Maintenance, Supply Chain and R&D to ensure compliance is embedded in operations
What you will bring:
Education & Certification
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant technical or scientific discipline
Experience
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in a regulated manufacturing environment
- Proven leadership experience in a Quality Management role
- Experience with OTC products, FDA-regulated environments and GMP systems
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of quality systems, root cause analysis and CAPA management
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to operate independently and make risk-based decisions
- Fluent in Dutch and English, both written and verbal
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
