Contract Type: Permanent, full-time, day shift

 

The Supply Chain Planner is responsible for planning finished products to meet service-level targets while managing the inventory of raw materials and packaging in accordance with EPC-approved guidelines. This role involves the timely ordering of raw materials and packaging, placing purchase orders, handling confirmations, and resolving daily delivery-related issues. The planner monitors and analyzes service levels and back orders. Additionally, they maintain Bills of Material, Routings, and Planning parameters in the transactional system and serve as a backup for the Supply Chain Manager.

 

Key Responsibilities

Supply Planning for Raw Materials and Packaging

  • Based on forecasts, customer orders, and historical data:
    • Prepare purchase orders and analyze purchase requisitions.
    • Manage stock parameters in line with EPC guidelines.
    • Manage planning parameters.
    • Follow up on transitions in packaging and parts to ensure smooth introductions and launches.

Purchase Order Administration

  • Convert firmed purchase requisitions into purchase orders.
  • Follow up on purchase orders: vendor confirmations, expedite requests.
  • Address daily issues related to purchase orders and deliveries.
  • Provide purchase forecasts to suppliers.
  • Firm outsourcing requisitions and prepare deliveries for relevant components.
  • Track supplier deliveries, set priorities, and report in the outstanding and priorities team meeting.

Coordination with the Manufacturing Team

  • Introduce stock corrections and take initiatives to improve stock accuracy (PSA production floor).
  • Manage E&O and scrap, determining destinations for obsolete materials in collaboration with production, engineering, marketing, and accounting departments.
  • Participate in projects related to stock reduction, Lean Manufacturing, and supply continuity.
  • Oversee the timely ordering and supply of fabrication supplies.

Follow-Up on Service Level Issues, Back Orders, and Priority Lists

  • Coordinate with the Global Distribution Planner on distribution issues.

Backup for Other Planners and the Supply Chain Manager

  • Handle enclave packaging planning.
  • Conduct monthly S&OP Capacity Planning.

Safety

  • Adhere to all valid instructions and procedures.
  • Propose improvements for safety levels (IR and Seal).
  • Report accidents and incidents according to the procedure.

Environment

  • Follow all valid instructions and procedures.

ISO

  • Comply with instructions and procedures.
  • Assist in maintaining procedures and instructions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Logistics, or a related field.
  • 5-8 years of experience with proven results in Operations, Inventory Management, Supply Chain Management, or Procurement.
  • High proficiency in SAP (R/3, SAP APO, and SAP BW/BEX reports) and MS Excel and Access.
  • APICS certification is preferred.
  • Excellent knowledge of Dutch and English.
