Position Overview
The Associate Manager, Walmart Retail Media will support Newell’s Learning and Development brands by managing advertising campaigns and ensuring alignment with business goals across Walmart Connects retail media platforms. This individual will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create data-driven strategies, optimize media spend, and deliver impactful performance across Walmart’s digital and omnichannel ecosystem.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for digital marketing, strong analytical skills, and an interest in consumer goods, eCommerce, and omnichannel retail media.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Brand Marketing, Sales, eCommerce, and Customer teams to align Walmart Connect advertising strategies with overall business goals, customer priorities, and promotional plans.
- Support the planning, execution, and optimization of Walmart Connect campaigns across key retail media formats, including Sponsored Search, Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Onsite Display, Offsite Media, and other emerging Walmart Connect solutions.
- Track and analyze campaign performance metrics, including impressions, clicks, click-through rate, CPC, ROAS, conversion rate, sales lift, attributed sales, and share of voice where available.
- Identify areas for improvement and implement data-driven optimizations to achieve campaign objectives, improve efficiency, and maximize return on media investment.
- Partner with internal teams and external agencies to test and implement new strategies, formats, targeting approaches, and tools to improve Walmart retail media performance.
- Work closely with Brand Marketing, Sales, and eCommerce teams to ensure Walmart Connect campaigns are integrated into broader marketing initiatives, product launches, seasonal moments, and customer activations.
- Create regular campaign performance reports, highlighting key insights, business impact, and actionable recommendations for internal stakeholders.
- Use Walmart Connect reporting and other retail media analytics tools to inform decision-making and demonstrate ROI.
- Monitor competitive activity, category trends, keyword performance, and industry developments to identify opportunities for growth and innovation.
- Stay up to date on Walmart Connect capabilities, new ad formats, measurement solutions, platform updates, and retail media best practices.
- Share best practices and learnings with the broader retail media team to drive continuous improvement across Newell’s Walmart media programs.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Analytics, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in digital marketing, eCommerce, retail media, shopper marketing, or media analytics.
- Experience with Walmart Connect, Walmart retail media, or Walmart-focused eCommerce is highly preferred.
- Experience working with consumer goods or learning and development brands is a plus.
Skills and Competencies
- Familiarity with Walmart Connect advertising solutions, including Sponsored Search, Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Onsite Display, Offsite Media, and campaign reporting tools.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and translate performance results into actionable insights.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple campaigns, timelines, priorities, and stakeholders.
- Collaborative mindset with excellent communication skills to work cross-functionally with internal teams, agency partners, and retail partners.
- Proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools; experience with retail media reporting platforms or other retail analytics tools is a plus.
- Strong understanding of eCommerce fundamentals, including search behavior, product content, digital shelf performance, conversion drivers, and promotional planning.
- Passion for learning and development space and an understanding of its consumer base.

The New Jersey base pay range for this position is from $102,600 to $141,100. Salary will be based on prior experience related to the skills required for this position.
