The eCommerce Associate Merchandising Manager will be responsible for supporting eCommerce DTC merchandising execution and provide inputs on strategy across multiple brands (Marmot & ExOfficio). The ideal candidate should have eCommerce merchandising or buying exposure with a blend of analytical and creative skills. This role requires partnerships with several cross-functional teams including Brand, Creative, Marketing, and Technology to come up with new strategies for growing the direct eCommerce business across all brands.
Specific responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Assist in merchandising strategy and execution on DTC websites meeting revenue and margin goals and other web KPIs
- Owner of building promotions, campaigns, plp banners, mega nav images, editorial content and other assets for site.
- Measure and analyze consumer adoption of site merchandising strategies and iterate to increase revenue and conversion
- Manage and support the execution of merchandising calendar set up, ensure best in class merchandising capabilities on Marmot and ExOfficio.com
- Maintain daily site merchandising strategy calendar, plan future season site content needs in collaboration with product assortment and brand marketing teams
- This will require attention to detail, effective time management and excelled in communication skills.
- Checking over both staging and production environments to make sure everything accurate on site.
- Maintain the site catalog through all stages of the product lifecycle, including initial set up (site flip), in season merchandising (changing face out images, merchandising based on business needs by category), promotional activity and ensure on-site accuracy.
- Collaborate with Brand, Marketing, UX and Product teams to create content that will increase conversion and/or brand image, oversee and/or execute final content on-site
- Assist in the creation of customer retention strategies by coming up with new initiatives to increase repeat purchases through the direct channel and to increase consumer engagement
- Manage third party relationships and ensure they are meeting key deliverables and help develop activation strategy
- Manage SEO and optimization for both sites in partnership with SEO team
- Competitive analysis on projects to help optimize the site
Qualifications:
- 3 or more years’ experience required in an eCommerce function Proficient in MS Windows (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Preferably bring experience in retail with an apparel company
- Bachelor’s degree
- Digital Focused – Experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud is highly preferred.
- Detail oriented with excellent merchandising, reporting, organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills
- A team player with the ability to work with functional areas (buying, marketing, operations, creative, etc.)
- Self-reliant and able to work in a creative, unstructured environment
- A future leader with strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication and presentation skills
- Eager to learn and ready to take on new challenges each day
- Analytical – Capability to perform thoughtful analysis of data & ability to parse out key actionable metrics. (Experience with Google Analytics preferred)
- Fast learner – ability to quickly learn internal systems, processes, and additional software/web-based applications
- Experience utilizing and managing third party vendors (BazaarVoice, Narvar, Jebbit etc.)
- Basic understanding of HTML and CSS
The New Jersey base pay range for this position is from $113,200 to $138,350. Salary will be based on prior experience related to the skills required for this position.
