Position Title: Sourcing Associate Manager
Location: Specify preferred office location(s): Huntersville, NC
Reports To: Sr. Sourcing Manager
Summary:
The Sourcing Manager, reporting to the Sr. Sourcing Manager in Huntersville, NC, manages component categories for the Home and Commercial segment. This role leads the development and execution of sourcing strategies focused on cost savings, improved working capital, shorter lead times, higher supplier quality, and supporting new product development, while also providing leadership and guidance to category teams.
Major Areas of Focus and Responsibilities
- Establish, analyze and optimize sourcing strategy for multiple component categories
- Manage supplier performance metrics such as contract and price negotiation, working capital efficiency, geographic supply diversification and risk mitigation, and single-supplier dependency reduction
- Build and maintain supplier relationships that support KPI delivery
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to facilitate a winning culture with shared goals
- Partner with regional sourcing teams to drive project execution and continuous supplier development that aligns with global supplier strategy
- Daily responsibilities include, but not limited to, NPD supplier selection, supplier consolidation/ introduction, savings negotiation, on time delivery, engineering changes, quality improvements
- Support supplier quality and global responsible sourcing by ensuring compliance throughout supply base
Interpersonal Expectations:
- Works well with minimal supervision in a supportive, collaborative, fast-paced team environment
- Ability to work both independently and on cross-functional teams
- Plans, organizes, and influences the efforts of domestic and global suppliers as well as a variety of functional groups (e.g. marketing, sales, supply chain) within the organization
- Strong organizational skillset and a basic understanding of the principles of project management
- Exceptional analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, or related field
- 3-5+ years of sourcing experience or demonstrated performance managing comparable scope of responsibility
- Demonstrates expertise in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, PowerBI), experience in SAP a plus
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally, up to 15%
- Proven leadership skills and talent development skills
