Job Summary:
The National Sales Manager (NSM) is responsible for Leading National Distribution for Wholesale, Office, and Foodservice Distribution. The National Sales Manager will develop, execute, and foster a collaborative business partnership between the Commercial Business Segment and assigned customer base that delivers volume, share, and profitability objectives for the BU across multiple product lines. The role will be responsible for delivering annual financial and distribution objectives across the book of business. This role will build, manage, and execute Joint business plans with the customer and collaborate internally with cross functional team members to build and execute robust plans. The NSM will also be responsible for managing, coaching, developing, and driving accountability with a team that is responsible for strategic customers in the book of business.
Responsibilities:

Deliver top line invoice sales / budget targets and operating income metrics across three businesses, Rubbermaid Commercial, Rubbermaid, and Quickie.

Develop and execute a by customer/ by category joint business plan that delivers on customer and company annual objectives.

Works with Commercial customer demand planning and supply chain team to develop accurate sales forecasts and achieve specified levels of forecast accuracy.

Lead process and build strategy for managing customer spend/customer programs in collaboration with channel and finance.

Negotiates and manages funds to create customer and company value by consistently measuring results and identifying opportunities for improvement.

Build excellent customer relationships with buyers and cross functional customer team members (Planners, Supply Chain, etc.)

Lead and communicate important initiatives and needs of the customer to deliver collaborative objectives.

Leverages Business brands and product mix to improve profitability and meet customer, end user, and Commercial targets.

Works with internal functions to implement methods that assist our customers in effectively and creatively winning with consumers, shoppers, end-users, and purchasers through promotions, packaging, and merchandising.

Lead and communicate important initiatives and needs of the customer to deliver collaborative objectives.

Monitors the competitors' brands and products as well as our market share, competitor market share, and target market share to understand trends and opportunities and communicating to appropriate sales, channel, and category management teams.

Effectively works across all functions internally to drive the best results.

Effectively leads a team of sales reps focused on Wholesale, Office, and Foodservice distribution by instilling accountability and a mindset of delivering results.
Key Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in business or similar field required, MBA is a plus.

Minimum 5+ years of direct and hands-on experience in sales

Experience working in a Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG), Fast-Moving Consumer Good (FMCG) and/or consumer durables industry strongly preferred.

Ability to analyze syndicated data.

Experience working within a live trade accrual system.

High level knowledge and understanding working with Retailer POS system & metrics.

Ability to run, comprehend and communicate report findings.

Selling experience within consumer products, preferrable across multiple brands.

Ability to operate independently given direction and bring ideas and solutions to issues raised.

Ability to analyze and assess organizational needs and provide solutions accordingly.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills; must be able to present data in an organized manner to various levels of the organization.

Strong project planning, tracking & organizing skills.

Ability to build relationships and navigate a matrixed organization.
