Job Summary

The Senior Associate Finance Business Partner serves as a key financial partner to the Brand Cost, Supply Chain, Sourcing, and FP&A teams. This role acts as a strategic steward of material cost performance, driving visibility, accuracy, and forwardlooking insights. The Senior Associate will influence cost strategy for highprofile direct materials and lead analytical initiatives that support cost management, scenario modeling, automation, simplification, and strategic decisionmaking.

This role operates independently, requires strong analytical and communication skills, and thrives at the intersection of operations and finance. The ideal candidate works effectively across teams, manages complex analyses, and communicates insights with clarity to senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Cost Performance & Variance Analysis

  • Lead the analysis, reporting, and interpretation of Material Price Variances (MPV).
  • Develop and enhance variance models to identify cost drivers, trends, and financial risks.
  • Deliver clear, actionable insights to Procurement and Finance leadership on cost changes and financial impacts.

Cross-Functional Leadership & Project Management

  • Lead crossfunctional projects involving Sourcing, Supply Chain, Brand, FP&A, and Operations teams to drive cost optimization and strategic initiatives.
  • Serve as the primary Finance representative on crossfunctional workstreams, ensuring financial rigor, aligned objectives, and timely delivery of milestones.
  • Collaborate closely with Sourcing teams to assess supplier pricing, cost structures, and relevant market dynamics.
  • Support supplier negotiations through robust financial analysis, scenario modeling, and productivity tracking.

Tools, Reporting, Automation & Process Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to automate, streamline, and simplify financial processes to reduce manual effort and improve speed, accuracy, and scalability.
  • Enhance financial tools, dashboards, and reporting frameworks (including Power BI) to increase visibility and enable faster decisionmaking.
  • Eliminate lowvalue tasks by building repeatable, automated solutions that free the team to focus on insights and actions.
  • Standardize templates, reporting structures, and analytical approaches to ensure consistency across Procurement Finance.

Strategic Financial Support

  • Provide financial stewardship across major direct material categories, ensuring visibility into cost pressures and opportunities.
  • Produce forwardlooking insights to support strategic planning, budgeting, and risk assessment.

Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in financial planning, analysis, and/or financial modeling.
  • Strong experience with SAP and Hyperion (preferred).
  • Advanced Excel and Power BI capabilities with the ability to build, refine, and maintain financial models. Experience with using AI for analytics a plus.
  • Experience with raw commodities or cost structures affected by market inflation (a plus).
  • Ability to perform in a fastpaced, highpressure environment.
  • Strong business partnering skills with the ability to influence across levels in a matrixed organization.
  • High analytical aptitude with the ability to assess risks and opportunities within complex situations.
  • Professional presence and strong communication skills, comfortable interacting with senior leaders.
  • Personal attributes: actionoriented, resilient, curious, flexible, collaborative, and committed to highquality outcomes.
