.Job Purpose

     Must work effectively in a fast-paced team environment with constant interruptions. Must clearly communicate business goals and process raw wire into precise cuts into unfinished wire shelves. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Set-up and perform basic on-demand/preventative maintenance to wire cutting and welding machines.
  • Proficiently run cutting/welding machines to produce product to specifications.
  • Load machine with raw product.
  • Off-load completed product.
  • Rotate every 2 hours as material handler (Cutter only) and proficiently handle forklift to move raw materials to lines and unfinished product to Welder.
  • Maintain cleanliness of work area.
  • Responsible for customer and consumer related quality concerns
  • Drive continuous improvement in processes, specifications, and cost reductions efforts.

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • High School education/G.E.D
  • The ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide to verify quantities for production
  • Proven ability to reduce waste and cost utilizing lean concepts such as Kaizen, 5S, TPM, Visual Controls, Kanban, Value Stream Mapping, Quality Tools, Use of Metrics
  • Demonstrated results in continuous/productivity improvement.
  • Work with minimum supervision.
