The Associate Manager, Design Operations role is responsible for supporting processes and systems as it relates to the design team and Adobe systems – AEM Assets, Firefly, Workfront, and Express across Newell’s content supply chain.

 

The Associate Manager, Design Operations will be responsible diagnosing complicated process and systems challenges and will partner with Design and cross functional teams to build new initiatives from the ground up. This role will co-create and implement operational models and standards across Newell’s Design team and the larger organization to elevate our ability to deliver excellent brand experiences. These efforts include: design, sales, and marketing processes, training and development, workflow and tools, and overall design team data flow and governance.

 

       Responsibilities:

  • Manage and implement Workfront system modifications according to predetermined roadmap to reflect updated processes, briefs, and forms
  • Manage tools for delivery and maintenance of assets across corporate databases. Implement content governance workflows and approvals globally across the enterprise (& adapt in local markets)
  • Supports project management for system upgrades of enhanced functions / processes into Workfront including but not limited to Adobe tools. Collaborates with IT partners in systems support.
  • Assists with Workfront system integrations as needed to connect with additional Newell systems and Adobe tools.
  • Manages outside vendors, contractors, and consultant partners to implement systems architecture improvements, integrations, data connections, and data cleanup in partnership with IT
  • Serves as a Workfront administrator and supports group admin setup, training, adoption and governance.
  • Works closely with Senior Manager, Design Operations to implement updates to processes, briefs and forms in Workfront
  • Works closely with Marketing Operations on governance and training materials for Workfront
  • Recommend enhancements to Workfront system to improve workflows including enhancements made by Adobe tools
  • Adhere to project schedules to ensure timely completion of a project
  • Recommend ways to automate content development workflow for DTC traffic drivers (i.e. email, paid social, etc.), including working with developers to build, proof and deploy marketing assets.
  • Engage with cross-functional subject matter experts to incorporate best practices into the digital shelf. Implement content governance workflows globally across the enterprise.
  • Perform other duties as needed

 

       Technical Skills:

  • Proficient with project management applications (Adobe Workfront experience required)
  • Systems Administration skills and project management program mastery in best practices for architecting of scaled timelines and reporting
  • Familiarity with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Assets, Adobe Firefly and Adobe Creative Cloud preferred
  • Familiarity with CMS, PIM, and DAM systems and best-practices (Salesforce preferred)
  • Familiarity with typographic file standards, font management practices, font syndication tools including web-kit, HTML, CSS
  • JSON or Adobe Fusion programming skills are preferred

 

      Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in corporate or consulting design
  • Highly organized; Detail Oriented; Resourceful; Adaptable; Proactive
  • Ability to work efficiently on multiple projects, under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Works well independently and in team situations
  • Change management expertise.
  • Creative problem-solver and solution-oriented with a "can-do" attitude. Ideates actively. Continually bringing new thinking and approaches to our work
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate with, and collect information from colleagues
  • Working knowledge of design processes and requirements
  • Expertise in workflow management and keen prioritization skills are a must
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Office 365; proficiency in Workfront or similar project management software a plus
