Your Role & Team in a Nutshell
As an Associate Manager, Brand Activation, you will play a pivotal role in developing brand innovation and communication strategies for the Waterman brand, with the goal of boosting consumer demand and expanding market share in international markets (Japan and USA). Your role involves contributing to developing brand and pricing strategies, managing product portfolio, new product development, and formulating brand communication plans. You'll be part of a five-person team based in our London office.
We will help you achieve your goals and develop by providing regular feedback and access to online training courses.
Your Key Responsibilities:
Brand Strategy
- Lead the enhancement of the brand’s image and its connection with customers.
- Uphold the brand’s standards and champion its values across the organisation.
- Oversee product packaging to ensure consistency with the brand’s message and contributes to global design initiatives.
Innovation
- Generate and prioritise innovative ideas for the brand.
- Collaborate with research and insights teams to strategise new product launches.
- Advocate for new concepts to senior management and oversee their implementation.
- Direct the lifecycle management of products, including strategic planning for various regions and sales channels.
Activation
- Develop and implement long-term brand communication strategies.
- Construct a comprehensive marketing plan encompassing advertising, promotions, and sales tactics.
- Set marketing objectives and monitor the annual budget.
- Liaise with agencies to align on and achieve the brand’s communication objectives.
- Evaluate project outcomes and measure their impact on brand success.
Insights
- Gain an in-depth understanding of the brand’s clientele through research and analysis.
- Spread knowledge of customer behavior and market trends across the company
- Monitor marketing and quality metrics to assess their influence on brand performance.
Pricing
- Formulate pricing strategies based on market analysis.
- Participate in pricing evaluations to optimise brand value.
- Assess the impact of pricing decisions on the brand’s reputation.
- Identify optimal timing for promotional activities based on consumer trends.
What You’ll Need
Minimum:
- Experience in brand activation or brand marketing roles, including managing marketing plans across various consumer touchpoints, as well as at the point of purchase.
- Ability to translate marketing objectives into strategies and plans.
- Solid understanding of pricing strategies.
- Experience with new product launches, from concept to market success.
- Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
