Your Role & Team in a Nutshell

As a Design Manager, you will lead the creation of innovative digital designs that enhance our brands across various channels. You will work with a team of talented designers, empowering them to explore new ideas and deliver compelling Creative solutions. Your role involves overseeing digital experiences for both direct and indirect eCommerce sites, packaging, POP, photography, and product details for brands like Yankee Candle, Sharpie, PaperMate, Sistema, Breville and others. Your goal is to develop world-class digital designs that resonate with consumers and build lasting brand equity.
You will manage two direct reports, while collaborating with digital production teams in North and South America.

We will help you achieve your goals and develop by providing regular feedback and access to online training courses.

 

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute with high efficiency, the visual articulation (style and tone) of brand strategy, initiatives, objectives and goals through best-in-class design solutions.
  • Present confidently to different audiences to sell creative ideas.
  • Lead brainstorming sessions to generate creative ideas with the design team.
  • Review creative briefs to ensure clarity and actionability before starting design work.
  • Design and execute omni-channel assets for print and digital platforms including retailers, websites and emails with a mobile-first approach.
  • Prepare final assets according to specific print production guidelines at high levels of accuracy, efficiency and replication.
  • Apply brand style guide elements consistently, including logos, typography, and packaging.
  • Direct and lead brand and product photo and video shoots, consulting with cross-functional teams.
  • Collaborate effectively with employees at all levels across various roles and regions.
  • Mentor designers through constructive critiques and knowledge sharing.

 

What You’ll Need

Minimum:

  • A university degree in graphic design, art, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a creative management or graphic design role, primarily creating digital assets for eCommerce, emails, websites, and social media.
  • Experience in developing and executing creative work for brands.
  • Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop and Illustrator.

 

Your Advantage:

  • Strong attention to detail and experience with XD and After Effects.
  • Passion for design and a good understanding of industry trends.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects to meet deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including teamwork and collaboration.
  • Experience working with multiple languages; fluency in French, German or other European language would be a strong asset
