Job Purpose
The Custodian is responsible for performing custodial duties for the facility for the purpose of ensuring a clean and safe work environment for the staff and visitors.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Sweeps, mops, washes, polishes, vacuums, and sanitizes walls, floors, ceilings, and windows.
- Cleans and maintains lobby, conference room, and offices; cleans lunchroom, waters coolers and refrigerators; cleans lockers; cleans and sanitizes restrooms.
- Replenish supplies and materials in rest rooms and lunchrooms. Notifies appropriate personnel of needed repairs, faulty equipment, and supplies.
- Requisition supplies and equipment needed for cleaning.
- Handle recycling materials.
- Assists in the setting of tables, chairs, and other equipment for events, as needed.
- Maintains the housekeeping storage room in a neat and organized fashion.
- Adherence to OSHA standards in relation to the proper use of chemicals and equipment involved in the day-to-day completion of custodial cleaning tasks.
- Proficient in all safety and housekeeping requirement.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma/GED preferred. 0 to 1 yr. related experience or training.
