JOB DESCRIPTION
TITLE: Tool Crib Attendant
REPORTS TO: Technical Supervisor
SUPERVISES: None
JOB CLASS: FH
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY:
Control stock and inventory levels in Staple Set Parts Crib. Aid maintenance personnel in acquiring parts to keep machinery, auxiliary equipment running. Research and assist technical staff needs concerning parts by utilizing computer database and manufacturers part number information.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Control stock levels. Inventory and recognize critical items that may be low or not in stock and communicate to Buyer.
- Issue parts to correct asset.
- Receive parts from packing slips.
- Maintain good housekeeping – sweep, removal of trash, wipe cabinets, shelves.
- Perform physical inventory.
- Assist in purchasing function.
- Identify new parts, and be able to add new part/ stock number, print labels, and add location.
- Properly tag “Parts to be Repaired” and prepare packages for Fed-Ex/ UPS
- Will operate various vehicles/ equipment to perform functions of job. This will include, but is not limited to, forklift, 6 high lift, floor jack, company truck and drum caddy for 55 gallon drums.

JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Must be able to effectively communicate with others both verbally and in writing
- Must be able to work effectively in a fast paced environment
- Attention to detail and organization is critical
- Must be able to maintain pre-set inventory levels using daily inventory
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Good computer skills a must
- Proficiency with MS Office
- Ability to operate general office equipment
- Physically able to bend, squat, twist, climb, reach and lift 50 pounds
- Good communication skills with maintenance/technical vocabulary
- Valid forklift operator's license preferred
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Attention to detail, multi-tasking
- Ability to prioritize work to avoid downtime in production
- Ability to cross reference part numbers and descriptions as needed
- Must follow all safety procedures
- Must wear/ use all required PPE, to include, but not limited to, safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves (when cutting or moving pallets), proper foot wear (as outlined in the employee handbook), etc.
TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:
- MUST COMPLETE ALL OSHA REQUIRED TRAINING
- Forklift certification and 6 High operator’s license preferred
