Your Role and Team in a Nutshell
As a Channel Development Manager, you will identify and shape new growth opportunities across emerging routes to market with primary focus on discounters and club stores in EMEA & APAC regions.
You will turn insight into clear portfolio plans, pricing strategies, compelling selling stories and robust business cases, working closely with colleagues in Marketing, Sales and Finance. You will have exposure across different business segments/categories and the opportunity to shape future growth with collaborative commercial teams. You will work with iconic brands like Sharpie, PaperMate, Sistema, Breville, Spontex and others.
We will help you achieve your goals and develop by providing regular feedback and access to online training courses.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Identify and assess new and emerging channels, platforms and shopper missions, building a clear pipeline of growth opportunities.
- Translate opportunities into channel-specific portfolio and assortment strategies with clear value propositions.
- Develop robust size-of-prize and commercial business cases in partnership with Finance.
- Create clear, customer-ready selling stories that explain what to sell, why it wins and how it delivers value.
- Lead cross-functional alignment with Marketing, Sales, Finance and Supply to agree priorities and execution plans.
- Design and manage test-and-learn pilots, tracking performance and applying insights to future decisions.
- Document decisions, ownership and milestones to support effective execution.
What You Will Need
Minimum requirements:
- Experience in category management, portfolio development, marketing or business development.
- Strong commercial and analytical capability, with experience building business cases.
- Experience working within a matrix organisation.
- Ability to manage work independently from insight to delivery.
