TITLE: PIC Manager

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY:
PIC Manager is a strategic leader accountable for the direction and success of key supply chain functions. This role guides a high-performing team that supports production planning/scheduling in a manufacturing environment, optimizes inventory management, and ensures the seamless purchasing of raw materials and warehousing inventory experience including shipping and receiving. PIC manager establishes and prioritizes strategies, defines goals, and sets performance metrics to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations aligned with organizational objectives.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a dynamic team to support all aspects of production planning, inventory control, and raw material procurement.
- Design, implement, and monitor comprehensive production plans to achieve superior line fill rates and on-time delivery, meeting both customer and business targets.
- Oversee inventory levels and processes to optimize turnover while supporting uninterrupted manufacturing operations and meeting financial objectives.
- Ensure the accuracy, maintenance, and continuous improvement of all planning data and parameters in SAP or other MRP systems.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across purchasing, planning, and inventory processes, fostering a culture of operational excellence and innovation.
- Partner with cross-functional teams—including segment supply chain, sourcing, manufacturing, quality, and finance—to align supply chain strategies and solve complex challenges.
- Guide the purchasing team in securing timely delivery of both direct and indirect raw materials to ensure uninterrupted production.
- Champion integrity, ethics, and company values throughout all aspects of team leadership and supplier engagement.
- Support the development and management of the annual budget for operating expenses and inventory investment.
- Proactively identify risks and opportunities within the supply chain, implementing best practices and robust Cultivate an inclusive, respectful team culture that upholds organizational standards.
- Recruit, coach, and retain skilled supply chain associates; foster engagement and ongoing professional growth.
- Set clear team objectives and KPIs, providing regular feedback and recognition for achievements.
- Coordinate the development, execution, and review of detailed production schedules to fulfill customer demand efficiently and cost-effectively.
- Root cause schedule adherence challenges and collaborate with cross functional partners to develop and implement corrective action plans
- Partner with Operations and Engineering to determine changes needed to planned asset capacities, communicating impacts to cross functional partner both internal and external to the facility.
- Monitor and adjust inventory to meet both operational requirements and financial targets for inventory turns and cash flow.
- Oversee the collection, validation, and continual refinement of supply chain master data within SAP and related planning systems.
- Ensure robust purchasing strategies are in place for raw materials, supporting efficient procurement, timely deliveries, and favorable supplier relationships.
- Lead and participate in cross-departmental projects and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supply chain performance.
- Prepare and present regular reports on team performance, progress on objectives, and key operational metrics to senior leadership.
- Support a 24/7 Manufacturing facility.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 10 years’ leadership experience in supply chain management, production planning, inventory control, or purchasing functions.
- Minimum of 5 years leading warehouse inventory management, leading shipping and receiving teams.
- Strong experience with MRP planning systems; proficiency in SAP preferred.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to lead, inspire, and develop strong teams.
- Demonstrated success as a collaborative, results-driven leader with a solid track record in operational excellence.
- Advanced analytical and financial skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Ability to understand and utilize advanced features of Excel preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, engineering or related field preferred.
- Assertive and adaptable, with a strategic mindset and a commitment to continuous improvement.
