TITLE: Machine Operator-McMinnville, TN

Shift: 1st Shift

REPORTS TO: Production Supervisor

JOB CLASS: Hourly

GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:

 Operate any or all machines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

•  Able to read, write, count, count, follow instructions and use a weighing scale.
• Follow detailed written instructions to operate equipment.
• Sustained physical effort handling light and/or average weights (up to and including 50 pounds) and where a majority of body members are regularly employed. Transfer of parts between tumblers, machines, and storage locations.
• Make minor adjustments to the machine when necessary. Diagnoses problems and assists maintenance personnel as needed.
• Completes necessary paperwork to record production and quality performance daily.
• Ensure standard quality checks are performed properly and regularly.
• Perform training as instructed by supervisor, including training other operators.
• Always keeps work cell neat and clean. Maintains lean work environment and strives to eliminate waste in the workstation.
• Ensures that there are no safety hazards on the floor in the working area. Proactively identifies potential safety issues.
• Continuous mental or visual attention operates several machines.
• Work overtime as required.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

• HS Diploma or GED.
•  Ability to use tools.
• Exceptional Teamwork required.
