The Amazon Business Manager is responsible for leading and accelerating the growth of the Amazon Mexico business across the Home Appliances and Writing categories, acting as the overall owner of the commercial strategy, operational execution, and long-term business development of the channel.

This role operates Amazon as a business unit within the organization, balancing growth, profitability, customer experience, inventory productivity, and operational excellence.

Beyond Amazon expertise, success in this role requires exceptional cross-functional leadership and organizational influence. As one of the fastest-growing and most dynamic channels in the company, Amazon demands agile decision-making, rapid problem-solving, and the continuous evolution of processes that often differ from traditional retail models.

The Amazon Business Manager serves as the central orchestrator of the Amazon ecosystem, driving alignment across Marketing, Digital Marketing, Customer Marketing, Demand Planning, Supply Chain, Customer Service, Finance, Credit, and Logistics to ensure sustainable and profitable growth.

The role leads the Amazon Key Account Manager and acts as the primary point of contact for Amazon's commercial leadership and strategic stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities

Business Ownership & Commercial Leadership

  • Own the Amazon Mexico business performance, including Net Sales, profitability, commercial investment, and overall customer health.
  • Develop and execute the Joint Business Plan and long-term growth strategy.
  • Lead commercial negotiations and strategic discussions with Amazon.
  • Identify new growth opportunities through assortment expansion, innovation, category development, and strategic initiatives.
  • Build annual, quarterly, and monthly business plans to achieve performance targets.

Marketplace & Ecommerce Excellence

  • Lead the day-to-day management of the Amazon 1P business through Vendor Central and related tools.
  • Monitor and improve sales, profitability, traffic, conversion, pricing, availability, inventory health, and ASIN performance.
  • Partner with Digital Marketing teams to maximize Retail Media effectiveness and accelerate category growth.
  • Drive Digital Shelf Excellence through content optimization, search visibility, ratings, reviews, and conversion improvements.
  • Lead planning and execution of Prime Day, Hot Sale, Buen Fin, Black Friday, and other key commercial events.

Forecasting, Supply & Customer Experience

  • Own the commercial forecast and coordinate planning activities with Demand Planning and Supply Chain teams.
  • Ensure optimal inventory health while balancing service levels, inventory productivity, and profitability.
  • Anticipate demand volatility and develop mitigation plans for risks and supply constraints.
  • Partner with Customer Service teams to continuously improve customer experience and issue resolution.
  • Ensure end-to-end operational excellence across purchase orders, fulfillment, inventory availability, deductions, shortages, and service execution.

Organizational Leadership & Transformation

  • Act as the internal leader and advocate for the Amazon business.
  • Influence strategic and operational decisions across functions without direct authority.
  • Challenge existing processes and drive the creation of new ways of working required to support the unique needs of a high-growth digital business.
  • Lead cross-functional governance routines to proactively identify risks and unlock growth opportunities.
  • Build alignment and accountability across multiple functions to accelerate execution and business performance.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on speed, agility, scalability, and execution excellence.

People Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and develop the Amazon Key Account Manager.
  • Establish clear priorities, objectives, and development plans.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, collaboration, and continuous learning.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • 6-9 years of experience in Sales, Ecommerce, Key Account Management, or Commercial Leadership roles.
  • Proven experience managing Amazon Vendor Central and Amazon 1P businesses.
  • Strong knowledge of forecasting, inventory management, pricing, promotions, demand planning, and ecommerce P&L management.
  • Experience working in Consumer Goods, Durable Goods, Retail, or related industries.
  • Advanced analytical capabilities with strong Excel proficiency and experience using Power BI or equivalent BI platforms.
  • Experience leveraging AI, automation, and advanced analytics to support commercial decision-making.
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive cross-functional alignment.
  • Experience leading people and developing talent.
  • Fluent English and Spanish.
  • MBA preferred but not required.
