The evolution of the Newell Brands Supply Chain includes a focus on driving productivity through building capability in people, processes, and technology. PEAK (Performance, Engagement, Achievement, and Knowledge), Newell’s branded improvement strategy, is fundamental to that goal. A Center of Excellence with a deep competency in implementation PEAK PACS (Processes, Applications, Capabilities, and Systems) in a Factory/Warehouse setting is a crucial element in our future success. This role will facilitate and lead CI strategy and capability deployment in the Sites to support business imperatives through the effective deployment of PEAK systems, capabilities, and methodology. Achieve objective performance improvement results through capability building, coaching, and deployment of Lean Sigma and TPM tools and systems.
Productivity Responsibilities:
- Responsible for supporting the LATAM FY´25 Make Gross Productivity target 6M USD (1.8M D&T and 4.2M MFG)
- Support productivity governance and program management with monthly, quarterly and annual reports for LATAM Sites (18 Distribution sites & 7 MFG Sites)
- Communicate and train the execution of the global productivity reporting system under the new organizational structure.
- Support develop MFG or D&T productivity budgets at local level.
- Ensure Productivity Goals are passed down and understood.
- Own identification, facilitation, and tracking of functional cost improvement projects on CPT.
- Coach & train LATAM “PEAK & Productivity site engineers” on CPT system.
- Perform regular & periodic validation of each project / initiative with each function or operating unit.
- Teach & support the teams in using problem solving & tracking tools.
PEAK Responsibilities:
- Responsible for follow-up PEAK Implementation Plan for LATAM Sites
- Facilitate the development of Site Master Plan to deliver long and short-term business objectives through system deployment and capability building focused on alignment, the elimination of waste, and 100% employee engagement.
- Establish monthly, quarterly, and annual deployment strategies, plans, and tactics for the site (including all 4 wall functions)
- Align PEAK initiatives with the Overarching Strategic Plan and PEAK implementation strategy.
- Coach and facilitate the leadership team through the integration of PEAK methods and strategy.
- Build capability and deploy PEAK systems to optimize value streams and work processes.
- Assure integration of PEAK PACS (Processes, Applications, Capabilities, and Systems) and effective governance to standards and master plan priorities
- Implement site loss analysis and idea generation.
- Build PEAK PACS teams, systems, and leaders linked to site strategy within the organization
- Link PACS work groups to prioritized business opportunities
- Provide guidance and alignment in support of the global PEAK Agenda
- Build the capability of the key internal resources needed to deliver on critical initiatives
- Provide analytics and business intelligence to support project selection, root-cause analysis, project validation, etc.
- Ensure that PEAK work is impacting both results, and the culture change including:
- Capability building for setting, tracking and problem-solving measures
- Total employee involvement
- Linkages of individual and team activities to losses and the business needs
Network with other global and organizational leaders & to learn and share “Best Practices”.
- Foster key relationships with various functions
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field (required).
• 7–10 years of experience in a Central Supply Chain role, combining both strategic and tactical responsibilities, with hands-on application of continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., TPM, Lean, Six Sigma), particularly in the areas of education and training.
• Minimum of 5 years of functional or operational leadership experience in a multi-site or cross-functional continuous improvement environment (TPM, Lean, or Six Sigma).
• Professional certification in Six Sigma, Lean, TPM, or similar methodologies (preferred).
• Proven ability to manage and lead complex projects with measurable results in high-performance environments.
