The role will be responsible for inventory movements between Newell and third-party suppliers and ensure proper documentation control for these processes. The incumbent will manage all aspects of supply planning with assigned suppliers. Key measurements for success include exceeding customer service levels, projecting and managing inventory levels. The position will interface daily with Sales, Trade, Segment teams, Finance, Warehouse.

Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day planning responsibilities for import and domestically sourced items, including transportation tracking, customer service communications, deployment (including regional), and allocation
  • Maintain appropriate SAP parameters and update systems to ensure alignment with global best practices
  • Maintain inventory levels to meet customer demand and eliminate excess inventory exposure; drive >98% service on A items and 95% overall
  • Translate customer demand into an executable production/purchasing plan; work with global purchasing team to manage expedites/de-expedites for third party products
  • Manage day to day local third-party communication (Maquila)
  • Manage local product procurement, purchase orders, and local production planning activities
  • Develop and maintain effective communication and relationships with business partners including Demand Planning, Sales, Marketing teams & warehouse
  • Escalate potential service issues, shortages, and capacity constraints in S&OE/S&OP processes
  • Reporting – Publish Prior Month KPIs: Inventory bridges, service, E&O, AF projections
  • Analyze market performance against the current planning reqs to anticipate issues in product availability
  • Exemplify and drive Newell’s culture within Supply Chain
  • Manage third party (overseas) product procurement, purchase orders, and all planning activities for the region
  • Work with global purchasing team/Sourcing to align production schedules in a manner that enables growth of the Baby business in LATAM
  • Generate and publish 18-month horizon inventory projections (IW), along with monthly inventory performance reports, to ensure alignment with budgetary targets

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering or related Analytical Discipline
  • MS Software – Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Word
  • SAP experience (MM, PP, APO, PP/DS, Reporting) is a plus
  • Proficiency in MRP and MRP Theory
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in master scheduling, forecasting, procurement and planning
  • Ability to communicate complex information clearly across all organizational levels.
  • Intermediate to advanced English proficiency (spoken and written)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deal with high pressure situations
