About the role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Newell Brands as a Safety and Continuous Improvement Specialist. Based in our Minto Distribution Centre, you will be part of a collaborative and supportive team, reporting directly to the Operations Manager – Supply Chain.
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Safety & Continuous Improvement Specialist to join our team. This role is perfect for someone passionate about building a strong safety culture while driving operational excellence through continuous improvement.

What will you be responsible for:
- Develop and maintain workplace health & safety policies, procedures, and training.
- Ensure compliance with relevant WHS regulations and standards.
- Lead safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
- Champion a strong safety culture across all levels of the organisation.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and other methodologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes, reduce waste, and enhance efficiency.
- Provide training and mentoring to employees on safety and CI practices.
What you need to be successful?
- Tertiary qualification in Occupational Safety, Industrial Engineering, Operations or similar (preferred).
- 3+ years’ experience in safety and/or continuous improvement roles (manufacturing, logistics or ideal industrial environments).
- Knowledge of WHS regulations and standards (ISO 45001 a plus).
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen or similar methodologies (Green Belt highly regarded).
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to influence and engage employees at all levels.
