General Responsibility
Position will be responsible for assessing and resolving faults occurring within the DMS auto-storage and retrieval system as well as faults related to automated guided vehicles (AGVs) in the facility. AGV faults can be due to vehicle encountering debris, bad pallets, stretch wrap, falling or misaligned loads among other things. ASRS (DMS) faults can be due to conveyor jams, printer failures, scanner alignments, shuttle faults and more. The successful candidate will utilize a tablet and real-time reports to assess where the faults are occurring and ensure they are resolved in a timely manner. Candidate will also be responsible for tracking and escalating faults so as to ensure automation in the warehouse has maximum uptime and meets established KPI metrics for the business.
Position Detail – Responsibilities
- Fault Identification: Monitor AGVs and ASRS systems to detect and identify faults or issues in real-time.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with AGVs and ASRS, including mechanical, electrical, and software-related issues.
- Resolution: Implement corrective actions to resolve identified faults, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
- Preventive Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to reduce the likelihood of faults and extend the lifespan of equipment.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed records of faults, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions for future reference and continuous improvement.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the maintenance and operations teams to address recurring issues and develop long-term solutions.
- Training: Provide training and support to staff on best practices for operating and maintaining AGVs and ASRS systems.
- Reporting: Generate reports on fault occurrences, resolutions, and system performance metrics to inform management decisions.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure all fault resolution activities comply with safety standards and regulations.

• Excellent Computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, Access)

• Knowledge of PKMS & SAP is preferred
• Knowledge and understanding of Distribution Center practices preferred
• Knowledge of safety procedures in operations environment (including wearing all PPE required)
