Position Title: Gerente de PCP
Location: Pouso Alegre, MG
Reports to: Sr Plant Manager PSAL
Leadership position that integrates different services and supports the operation and results PSAL Manufacturing facility, in charge of operating the following responsibilities: A. Materials and Production Scheduling & Customer Service, B. Administration of the Materials & Raw materials Warehouse Network, Cycle Counting, MRO & Tool crib.
The responsibilities include being the connection point with the segments of O&R (Outdoor & Recreation) and Baby in order to provide visibility and create the service agreement between the manufacturing facilities and the business leaders in Brazil.
The position is integrated into the MFG Staff in charge of the operations located in PSAL, integrating here all the functions necessary for the operation in this section of the region and is an important driver for future of Brazilian manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities
Materials, Production Scheduling and Customer Service
- DATASUL data integrity regarding scheduling, planning and procurement fields
- Master production execution
- Schedule attainment compliance/tracking
- Detailed production schedule
- Outlier review, inventory impact and associated costs
- Report supply issues to impacted regions/countries
- Follow up daily activities’ performance from buyers, planner and schedulers
- Provide Monthly Capacity constraint graphs to Supply Chain
- Participate LATAM monthly meetings, update Production plan volume/daily rates
- Provides Finance and Manufacturing production plans for monthly plant forecast needs
- Participate in budget activities annually
- Assures safety procedures/requirements are followed
- Production Plan Daily rates
- Assure completion of orders
- Seek deviations for inventory depletion
- Determine effectivity dates
- Timing new part supplier phase in/out to avoid production interruptions
- Molded parts capacity vs production plan
Materials
- Seeking E&O excess inventory disposition
- Monthly Inventory roll forward
- Review monthly safety stock levels
- Support new product implementation
- Set up component purchase order costs
- Monitors suppliers agreed buffer inventory levels
- Review molded parts equipment capacity vs requirements
- Establish required buffer inventory levels to agreed suppliers
- Monitors purchase order confirmation, advanced shipping notices
- Air freight projections
- Participation and follow up in special projects/requests
- Review component lead-times annually
- Requests raw material certificate of origin annually
- Review, track Excess & Obsolete inventory levels
- Materials group training, cross training
- Procurement of raw materials to support production plan
- Support resin purchases for molders as indicated by procurement
- Days on hands tracking/reporting
IT
- Creation of reports to support department needs
Administration of the Materials RAW Warehouse Network, Cycle Counting, MRO & Tool crib
- Develop and lead the Warehousing of RAW materials for PSAL facility
- Compliance with the policies established by foreign trade for the correct export of products to the regions
- Comply with compliance procedures and rules related to cycle counting policy
- Alignment of procedures and strategies established for MRO as well as the execution of the Tool Crib
- Potentialize annual productivity and cost savings, against the distribution budget spend
- Plans, directs and is responsible for the control of the inventory of $37 million USD of materials impacting the P&L the O&R and Baby segments in Brazil. This includes oversight of the inventory count policy, accuracy levels, and discrepancy reconciliation and reporting
- Responsible for the creation of the multi-site annual financial budget, various financial re-forecasts, and variance reporting to plan
- Develop / maintain a leadership team to establish the functions as a core competency and competitive advantage
- Participate on local staff meeting in order to provide operative visibility as well as influence business decision-making by providing information and strategies that support customer commitments and positively impact the organization's margins
- Develop and maintain a collaborative and positive relationship with all Third-Party Logistics providers in the region
- Create a positive and winning culture within the team by developing people for next level assignments in distribution or supply chain
- Responsible for the warehouse safety program
- Manage raw materials center personnel, including hiring, supervising, retaining talent, scheduling and training of staff
- Work with personnel to continuously improve policy, procedures, practices and training
- Build process excellence & engineering capabilities throughout the operation
- Enhance customer facing capabilities by continuously interacting with key customers in each segments we serve
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related fields
- Previous operational experience is required, with a demonstrated progression into increasing leadership responsibilities
- Must possess strong leadership, team building, and analytical skills to drive a highly productive team
- Strong background in PCP Materials, Warehousing operations
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to adeptly navigate a complex and matrix business environment and to influence others (including peers and executives) to challenge the status quo.
- Previous project work and a track record of productivity implementation successes
- In-depth experience in continuous improvement and operational excellence, process improvement, process standardization.
- Proven change agent skilled in change management with track record of engagement improvement
- Advanced English
