Your Role & Team in a Nutshell
As a Senior Specialist, MES Technical Deployment, you be responsible for MES deployment, configuration, training, troubleshooting, and the continuous improvement of the company standard MES platform (Ignition).
You will act as a technical subject matter expert, contributing to global MES standards and best practices while supporting factories and distribution centres through implementations, upgrades, and operational stabilisation. You will influence outcomes through your expertise and collaboration with site engineers, production teams, supply chain partners and external solution providers. You will work independently within a global manufacturing technology team.

Your Key Responsibilities
- Deploy, upgrade and stabilise manufacturing execution systems (MES), including Ignition, across manufacturing and distribution sites
- Configure applications, screens, reports and interfaces to meet business needs while following global standards
- Support testing, commissioning and go‑live activities directly at site level
- Deliver user training and post‑deployment support to improve adoption, data quality and confidence
- Troubleshoot system, integration and network issues in partnership with internal teams and external vendors
- Develop reporting and analytics that support operational efficiency, equipment reliability and performance insight
- Contribute to global documentation, standards and continuous improvement initiatives
- Assist in translating business needs into functional MES requirements and technical specifications.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, supply chain and external technology partners
- Travel internationally up to 40–50%, to support site deployments and stabilisation
What You’ll Need
Minimum
- Proven hands‑on experience working with manufacturing execution systems (MES) with strong expertise in Ignition software platform
- Ignition® Certification (Gold certification strongly preferred)
- Experience supporting MES integrations with ERP, CMMS, and other non‑MES systems.
- Proficiency in PostgreSQL and/or Microsoft SQL Server.
- Experience working with MES platforms such as FactoryTalk, OpsCenter, Vorne, Mattec, or similar.
- Working knowledge of ANSI/ISA‑95 and Industry 4.0 concepts.
- Experience supporting testing procedures, system validation, and commissioning activities.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills using Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint.
Your advantage
- Ability to work independently while collaborating in a global, matrixed environment.
- Experience delivering technical training or user enablement activities
- Familiarity with industrial automation and programming platforms (e.g., Rockwell, Siemens, Wonderware, GE, Iconics).
- Experience with Rockwell Software solutions in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
- Working knowledge of PLC programming, troubleshooting, and support (e.g., Allen Bradley / Rockwell platforms).
- Experience with industrial networking, including Ethernet/IP architectures.
- Hands on experience with network and managed switch configuration in OT/industrial environments.
