Your Role & Team in a Nutshell

As an Account Receivable Specialist you will be part of our Global Business Services (GBS), responsible for allocation of incoming receipts. Prepare and execute clearing of customer deductions including returns, markdowns, trade spend, customer fines, shortages etc. for all types of incoming customer payment receipts. Conduct regular customer account reconciliations ensuring tidiness on customer accounts.

We will help you achieve your goals and develop by providing regular feedback and access to online training courses.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage cash applications of wire payments, cheques, letter of credit and promissory notes including management of Pro-forma payments
  • Manage deductions, including monitoring customer deductions, matching with appropriate credit notes, and managing deduction discrepancies
  • Perform reconciliation of customer accounts and propose items for clearing
  • Conduct clearing of unallocated payments, management of pro-forma payments allocation and additional customer accounts clearing on weekly basis
  • Engage in monthly debtors overview
  • Maintenance of relationship with external and internal customers
  • Perform other assigned tasks and duties necessary to support the Accounts Receivable Department.
  • Create and monitor aging reports
  • Aid to a timely management of customer disputes.
  • Engage in process improvement initiatives
  • Maintain accurate records in the main SAP database - the customer SAP account
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule if required
  • Participate in special projects by supporting management and the project team in various tasks
  • Ensure compliance with SOX and internal rules and regulations and provide support for internal and external audits as needed
  • Actively participate in training programs
  • Perform other tasks related to the role 

 

 

What You’ll Need

Minimum:

  • Experience working in a similar position
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products: Excel, Outlook, Word
  • Intermediate vocational education degree or equal level proven by experience
  • Ability to evaluate financial reports (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow statements)
  • Strong English
  • Attention to detail and good organizational skilss with a focus on results
  • Excellent communication skills and team player mentality
  • Flexibility related to tasks, priorities and workload
