Your Role & Team in a Nutshell

As revenue analyst you will be responsible for managing, recording and reporting revenue streams according to Newell Accounting standards. This includes reconciliations, analysing of financial data and accurately reporting to help our company leaders make informed business decisions.
You will also play a key role in ensuring the success of our ongoing efforts to transform and make our operations more efficient.

 

We will help you achieve your goals and develop by providing regular feedback and access to online training courses.

 

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Closing Activities: month and period end closing, including calculations, posting journal entries, balance sheet accounts, reconciliations.
  • Data Management: build and maintain data bases to drive standardization processes, i.g. primary keys, master data, etc.
  • Revenue Audit Cycle: be a primary contact to our internal and external partners and support audit requests; perform reviews of CSPs and other supportive documents.
  • Investigation & Analysis: consolidate balance sheet positions; flag deviations and coordinate with stakeholders on discrepancy reviews, over- and under-accruals; summarize debit balances root causes and propose adjustments.
  • Continuous Improvement Projects and Initiatives: actively participate in company initiatives of improvement and harmonization.
  • Business Strategy & Orientation: review of Invoice-to-Net P&L accounts and identify trends, errors, omissions. Help establish and maintain clear definitions around marketing/investment business structures and collaborate with our Finance partners as needed
  • Team Responsibility & Ownership: be an active part of our team, help maintain standard operating procedures including task rotation and facilitating the training of newcomers,

 

 

What You’ll Need

Minimum:

  • Accounting degree or equivalent qualifications (US GAAP & SOX)
  • Strong, demonstrable accounting experience with focus on Revenue, P&L, etc., (including good understanding of P&L and B/S processes and its associated posting impacts)
  • Experience/strong interest in financial data analytics including capacity to understand and interpret large data sets
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative
  • Experience with SAP, Blackline or similar ERPs
  • Strong communicator with attention to detail
  • Fluent English
