Your Role in a Nutshell
As a Senior GL Accountant, you will focus on accounting and related processes for EMEA entities, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of the general ledger. You will lead or collaborate on various projects and support the integration of new processes within our service delivery teams.
We will help you achieve your goals and develop by providing regular feedback and access to online training courses.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert advice to stakeholders based on your extensive knowledge and experience.
- Lead and participate in several ad-hoc projects, integrations, and company initiatives.
- Conduct regular reviews of balance sheet (BS) and profit & loss (P&L) accounts to identify trends, errors, or omissions.
- Assist in the review of monthly account reconciliations in Blackline.
- Ensure accounts are properly reconciled with supporting documentation in adherence to company policies.
- Support team members with queries around customer programme subledgers, analyse P&L and balance sheet movements, and collaborate with business finance.
- Participate in the monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes.
- Partner with various departments and GL team leaders to ensure accurate and timely reporting of expenses and accruals.
- Coordinate and monitor progress on internal and external audit requests, supporting team members in gathering relevant information.
What You’ll Need
Minimum:
- Qualified Financial and/or Management Accountant with an accountancy degree or equivalent qualifications (knowledge of US GAAP/SOX is a plus).
- Minimum of 4+ years of accounting experience in an international or multi-subsidiary environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in all GL processes, with a focus on balance sheet and P&L variance analysis.
- Fluent in both French and English (B2/C1 level), written and spoken.
